Fall/Winter Polish Picks :)

Hey Guys!

So I know it might be a little late but i wanted to share my nail polish picks for Fall and winter. I have three categories and they might not be totally appropriate but they work out pretty well. Anyway, My basis of the polishes i picked were just the ones that i've been reaching for the entire season. Anyway, here are my picks :) And FYI. These do range in brands :)

REDS
• OPI's Red Hot Gift: This is a classic red and i think that everyone needs a good red. This polish is just the one that ive been loving at the moments. I personally think that this works well for everyone.

• China Glaze's Seduce Me: Now i know what you're thinking, this is totally not a red but i really love this. Its a nice and dark color but its still fairly feminine. Its perfect for those days that you wanna feel girly. Again, this is still a must have for fall/winter

• Revlon's Facets of Fuchsia: Since glitters are quite in this season, then Facets of Fuchsia is perfect. This is dark but it is really pretty. This is suppose to be a dupe for Deborah Lippman's Bad Romance. It looks like purple from afar but when up close, its fuchsia color really shows through.

TAUPES
• Sephora's City Amazon: This is a gorgeous gray color. i think this is a true "gray". Its not too warm or too cool but it works pretty well on me. Its also a really opaque color. Its a great concrete color :)

• China Glaze's Below Deck: This is one of the first taupes that i really love. It has a purple hue to it and it makes it a great color for fall. Its another great cream opaque color.

• OPI's You Dont Know Jacques: Ive always worn this color for a while! Its very nice and opaque and its a nice classic OPI color. Its a brown shade that has a gray tint to it and i just LOVE it :)

BRIGHTS:
• OPI's Mermaid's Tears: Now you might think that this is a little too bright for fall but since it has a kind of gray color to it, Its nice and murky so it makes it pretty appropriate for fall.

• Deborah Lippman's I Know What Boys Like: This is another color that you guys might think is a little too bright for fall. But since it is a self proclaimed "Blurple" Its pretty dark enough to pull of during the fall/winter. Ive been wearing a lot of dark colors for the season and a nice pop of color is great, even on the nails.

• OPI's Skull and Glossbones: This is a very awesome gray color. I didnt put this with the "Taupes" because i felt that this was too bright to be a taupe. This makes me think of a gray but more on the white side. This makes it really nice and versatile for fall. I wear some deep colors sometimes for fall and wearing this can really blend in nicely with my outfits.

Hey Guys :)

Im back with another nail polish post and this one is a surprising one. My friend got me this trio of nail polishes a long time ago for my birthday and i didnt really get a chance to use them until now. Theyre a trio of Sephora nail polishes. Im not one to usually get the Sephora nail polishes but from what I can see, they seem like good quality. So anyway, lets get to the nail polish :)

So this color is called City Amazon. its a gorgeous kind of concrete gray color and its a nice creamy gray color. Its VERY opaque. I always apply 3 coats but this time i only applied 2 coats. The formula of it is kind of thick but im sure it was just because of the thicker brush. I think this is a rather appropriate fall polish and i really love it :)

OOTD: Hello Kitty Chic ♥

Hey Guys :)

So I wanted to share with you guys my OOTD and this is by far my most FAVORITE for the entire fall season. If you guys arent aware, Forever 21 had a collection out that featured Hello Kitty. Since i am asian and being asian means that you immediately have a Hello Kitty obsession. I actually first saw this collection at the store in Times Square. I KNEW i had to pick up atleast one thing. To be honest, i wasnt so amused except for one thing. I only got the one cardigan that has a kind of dusty rose color with bow patterns. I took a picture of the pattern and you can see that it has subtle hints of the famous cat :)

Anyway, I decided to look a little more sophisticated for this so i decided to wear a white shirt from F21 and i wore a bondage skirt from Arden B. It was a little cold so i went and wore some tights with it. It looked a little took dark so i went ahead and wore brown boots.

Let me just say how many compliments i had! from both boys and girls! The boys were interested in the pattern which is actually really funny lol.

Anyway, heres is a quick break down on what i wore

November Favorites of '11 :)

Hey Guys :)

So Im incredibly late on this but here are my November Favorites. Its been a while since ive done a post on my favorites only because i was a little busy and i havent really been changing my make up routine. But now that the weather here in New York is getting much MUCH colder, My make up changes along with it. Anyway, here are my favorites.

Fragrance:
• Signature Vanilla: Apricot - Ive been really love this. I feel like its musky vanilla-y scent makes it awesome for winter. Ive been super dry specially because of the cold, I feel more moisturized with this scent. It lasts SO long too! I never really liked it until now

Face:
• MAC Studio Fix Powder - So I have been reaching for this SO many times this season. All ive been doing is putting a little foundation on any "necessary" areas and i blend it out with this powder. So I havent been wearing as much foundation and this is all that im wearing. Ill have a more in depth review of this soon :)

• NARS Blush in Exhibit A - Before you say anything, i know you might think that this is a little too bright for fall but I seriously do love it. I feel like i look nice and "flushed" which i do like. I dont get "red" during the cold weather and with the blush, i can :)

Eyes:
• Stila Eyeshadow in Tolima - I have been reaching for this all month. I used to as a crease color. i dont usually like using this for summer because of its grayish undertone, but since its more appropriate for the season then i use it more :) It goes with a lot of the shadows that i like wearing.
• NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk - Ive always been using this but i havent showed it in a post yet. I use this for everything! Waterline, eyeshadow base, brow bone highlight and inner corner highlight. Its the most versatile make up product that i have. Im surprised that I havent run out of it yet lol

Lips:
• Revlon Lip Butter in Pink Truffle - This has been in my bag ever since i bought it. I never really thought that i would like it but it looks SO perfect with my skin tone. its a nice pinkish nude color and again, its an amazing product :)
• Revlon Lip Stick in Blush - Yet another nude color. Again, its just another easy color that i dont need to worry about. I just put it on even without a mirror. Anyway, i personally think this is my favorite nude lipstick :)
• Tarte LipSurgence in Perky - So this was the only lip tint that i was excited about in that set that i got and i had every right to be excited. It feel great on the lips but it provides such a great color too. its a super nice pink on my lips even though it seem like a peachy color. Its fairly sheer but i still love it :)

Brushes
• Sigma Foundation Brush F60 - Since i havent been wearing such a crazy layers of foundation, i only use it for smaller areas. I therefore needed something tinier to apply it with. Ive been reaching for this for the past month. Its pretty good but i think there are better ones. this is just the ones ive been using the most.

OPI's Rally Pretty Pink :)

Hey Guys :)
So i havent posted much nail polish related posts and im sorry for that lol Let me break the cycle and present OPI's Rally Pretty Pink.

This was a part of the Serena Williams collection and i searched high and low for this. Since I didnt have an Ulta near me (until now :D) I had to really look for this. I actually found this in Nordstrom Racks and i was a little hesitant but im pretty glad i got it :)

Anyway, on to the polish, i was a little confused that it was called a "pink" From the swatches that i saw online, I thought it looked like a maroon with a bronze shimmer. I wasnt wrong about the bronze part, but the maroon was really wrong. In some lights, i saw the pink in it and it is really is "rally pretty" (gotta love the pun) I was at the gym and i just happened to look down on my nails, and all i saw was this gorgeous gold color. Safe to say that this polish is one of the most unique polishes ive ever seen.

As for its formulation, it look about 2 coats to get it to this opacity but i always have a "3 coat" policy. It lasted pretty long without any major chipping. It didnt actually chip at all and i had it on for about a week.

NOTD: Fall Cherry Blossoms :)

Hey Guys :)
So i have a new NOTD. I was wearing OPI's You Dont Know Jacques and i was about to take them off of the week until my friend suggested that i should put some pink flowers on it. I followed her advice and here is the finished product of it :)

I went ahead used a nail dotter than i got in eBay. Ill list of the products that i used:

NARS Haul via Sephora :D

Hey Guys!
SO if you guys havent seen yet, Sephora.com is having a special on NARS Eyeshadows. Theyre selling it for $8! so If you guys are a NARS collector like myself, i suggest that you pounce on these quick.

I got my usual 3 samples too which were:

• NARS Eyeshadow in California: A kind of brown, and bronzy copper
• NARS Eyeshadow in Night Sun: A VERY glittery yellow. I love it though. its very wearable for everyday. Its great for "shiny" lids.

I hope that you guys take advantage of this special! The shadows are pretty amazing!

NOTM: Revlon's Facets of Fuchsia :D

Hey Guys :)
So im here today with what im wearing today. Its Revlon's new Facets of Fuchsia nail polish. If you saw my Revlon haul. You'll see that i picked this up and some other polish which i will do a post on soon. But anyway, this one is all about Facets of Fuchsia.

The blog-a-spheres have been buzzing about this polish because this is the most amazing dupe to Deborah Lippman's Bad Romance. Im not one to shell out $18 bucks for a nail polish but i wouldnt mind $4 :)

This polish is in a jelly based black polish. Its a little sheer at first but at the second coat, it was opaque as you can see now. Unlike the Deborah Lippman polish, this polish has big circular magenta-ish purple glitters and smaller glitter flecks. The DL one (from what i can see from the blogs) has hexagonal glitters. I heard that the DL one is more darker too but besides the differences (which dont really notice much), the polishes are pretty much the same :)

Revlon Nail Polish Haul :D

Hey Guys! :)
So If you guys havent heard of it, Revlon has a whole bunch of collections coming out, i think its because of NYFW because all the polishes seem very on trend.

They have a new collection called Expressionists and they have SO many gorgeous glitters! :) They have one polish thats suppose to be a dupe for Deborah Lippman's Bad Romance and thats one polish that ive been craving for SO long. Anyway, i was determined to pick this polish up so i was looking everywhere for it. Im glad i found it at the Duane Reade near me :) Anyway here are the things i got.

1. Facets of Fuschia - This is the polish thats suppose to be the Deborah Lippman dupe. It might not have the same formulation as the DL one but it looks EXACTLY like it! Ill have a post on this soon :)

2. Blue Mosaic - I picked this polish on a whim. I didnt think think i was gonna like it but i really do. it has a lot of different chunks of glitter and ill definitely do a post too :)

Im totally glad about all the polishes i picked up! Im glad i finally got rid of my Deborah Lippman Bad Romance craving :)

How I Keep My Polishes In Order (:

Hey Guys :)

So I, like a lot of people here am a big polish collector. I recently have 119 this is after I gave away about 20 of my polishes to my friends. That’s still a lot to keep track of so i wanted to share how I did keep track of them.

One major thing that I use is Nail Wheels. These can be easily bought in eBay for a super cheap price. I know Sally’s sell them too but I cant really justify myself for buying plastic nail wheels for $6 when I could get double the nail wheels for 1/3 of the price.

I wrote on the back of the nail wheels and numbered them, They are coordinated by brand and color. I keep a file of all the names on my computer and the numbers tell what the name is. So if I need to find a specific color, I could search it on my file and see.

Another reason why I love nail polish wheels is if im indecisive about what polish to where, i could just hold one of the nails over my nails and check :)

Its actually pretty simple when you think of it, but with a big collection that I have (and its still growing) I feel that it’s appropriate to have some type of organization system.

☼ Summer Favorites of '11 ☼

Hey Guys :)
So summer is winding down and I know its time for August favorites but i thought i might as well do a Summer Favorites instead :)
This might be a LOT but i cut this down to as little as i can.

Fragrance

• Bali Mango - Look what made it into my summer favorites. Its the very famous Bali Mango from Bath & Body Works :) Everything about this just screams "summer". The scent, the name, and even the packaging! Its all just "summer" to me. Its hard to describe the scent. Its definitely complex. I can smell the mango in it and i think it smells like some kind of tropical drink :) It makes me want to go to the beach and just lay out in the sun. Theres nothing about this scent that i dont like, Maybe the fact that it might be discontinued is bad but hey, atleast they'll give me enough time to grab some back ups :)

Face: Foundation

• Neutrogena Healthy Skin Liquid Makeup - This is my holy grail foundation. I have a review on this too and you can see how much I really like it. But this seems like a great summer foundation. I dont usually get in the water too much so i dont worry too much about my foundation coming off.

Face: Blushes

• NARS Exhibit A - So ive probably talked about this blush a LOT but theres good reason for that. Its very pigmented and it gives you the most perfect flush of color :)

• ELF Candid Coral - I love this blush. This is my go - to blush when i have a more dramatic bronzy look.

• MAC Hipness - If i wanna change it up from the NARS Blush that i got, i then pick this up. Its so simple and its just the perfect blush color for everyday.

Eyes

• Maybelline One by One Mascara in Waterproof - I just plain LOVE this mascara. It was in my July favorites and i use it just everyday. Not only does the waterproof version hold up my curls perfectly, it also just makes my lashes look 100000x better than what it should be.

• MAC's Melon Pigment - Just a sweep of these on my lid and a swipe of mascara and im out the door. I love this because i dont just put this on my eyes, if i want a little highlight, i can just pat this on and it would be fine :)

Lips

• C.O. Bigelow Apple Rose Salve - This is the summer where I embraced my naturally pigmented lips. I didnt really wear a whole lot of color on a daily basis, I kept it simple and just wore this clear salve. I have huge lips (and im proud of them) so putting this on my lips made it really easy to maintain them and trust me. its SO hard to keep big lips soft and moisturized. This seemed to do the job well :)

• NARS Orgasm Lipgloss - On those days that I did wear some type of lip color, it was always this. I always liked how it had a nice golden sheen and that it it kind of looks nude for my skin tone. Im actually pretty fond of the formula too :)

Brushes
- These are the brushes that I literary used on a daily basis. I might have used other brushes but these are the ones that i always used

• ELF's Studio Powder Brush - I cannot praise enough about this brush. Its dense, its soft and its just beautiful for foundation. I cant rave about it enough

• Sigma's F30 Large Powder Brush - This brush is suppose to be for powder but ive been reaching for this brush the most for blush and bronzer. I found that its just SO huge that it covers my face and it gives me less time to do my make up :)

• Sigma's E40 Tapered Blending Brush - I love this brush only because ive been using MAC's Melon pigment a lot as you saw, I just like sweeping the color on my lids and this brush does the job very well. I do have a full review on it and you can totally check it out :)

Nails

• Sally Hansen’s Mint Sorbet - Ive talked about this polish before and i said that it was the exact dupe of China Glaze's Re-Fresh Mint, and that is my favorite shade ever! ive gotten SO many compliments on it and since this is the exact dupe so i love it too :)
• OPI’s Steady As She Rose - I am seriously in love with this shade. i actually got a lot of my friends hooked on this too. i already have a post on this so go ahead and check it out :)
• China Glaze’s Jamaican Out - This and another polish has been on my toes all summer. I love it, it doesnt work fully on my fingers but it looks awesome on my toes
• OPI's Give Me A Coral Sometime - Other than Jamaican Out, this is the other polish that i wore on my toes all summer. It really pops out and i really love it )

Others

• Dove's Deodorant in Pomegranate & Lemon Verbena - This kind of had to be in my favorites. I love the scent and it keeps me from "expiring" too early lol. I dont really have much to say about it, except that i think ill be using it till winter comes :)

Essie's Mademoiselle :)

Hey Guys
So this post is about Essie's Mademoiselle. I actually got this as a gift from one of my friends. Before putting it on my nails. I fell in love with the color immediately. It’s a kind of peachy nude color. When I tried it on, it turned out to be quite sheer.

So like I said, its totally sheer. The pictures that im showing you now is about 3 coats. I actually didn’t think that I was gonna like it but I really do. It makes it look like I have a French tip and i love having a French tip on. Since were on the topic of French tips, I say this would be perfect as a base for a French tip. I still really like it on its own though. It just makes my nails look so much more longer than it really is.

To be totally honest though, I would have never bought this on my own since its SO sheer. But I am glad that I have it. It’s a great staple for anyone who likes doing French tips.

NOTD: Deborah Lippman's I Know What Boys Like

Hey Guys :)
So im here with a requested NOTD. I recently posted a Deborah Lippman Haul and some of you guys wanted to see some NOTDs and here is one of them. This is I Know What Boys Like

Let me first talk about the wonderful formulation. This nail polish is very opaque and this is two coats. This could have been okay with one coat but i went ahead with two coats. By the time that i was painting my left hand, i noticed that my nails were dry! As dry like i just put some Seche Vite on. It also had such a glossy finish even without top coat. I now understand why there so much hype on this. They not only have unique and great colors, but its also such a great formula.

Anyway, about the color. I would describe it as a cream Blurple and that very unique! I wish i could have taken more pics with it but it was a little hard with inadequate lighting. It looks navy, but if i look more at it, then i saw the deep purple in it. Its one of the unique colors of Deborah Lippman

New Perfume Obession: Paris Hilton Passport Perfume in South Beach :)

Hey Guys :)
So I wanted to share with you guys my new perfume obsession. It’s the Paris Hilton Passport Perfume in South Beach. This is usually $45 but I got it for about $25 at Century 21. I don’t really know how to describe it, but hey ill try lol.
So Its VERY floral but its kind of fresh. Its has that floral scent at first when you spray it but after a little bit, that “fresh” note comes out. After awhile, theres a really nice floral musk in it.

The perfume is amazing but the packaging is just plain tacky! I think this was targeted for younger girls because of the cartoon on both the box packaging and the bottle. The bottle is made up of acrylic I think, or some kind of plastic alloy.

On a side note, I really LOVE most of Paris Hilton’s perfumes. I know it’s a little weird but I absolutely love it. They’re all kind of light but musky and its very girly. The one thing that I love about this perfume is that its not unbelievably girly as her other perfumes. I can kind of tell that some people would like it.

First Deborah Lippman Haul ♥

Hey Guys :)
SO this is a really exciting haul for me :) Its still nail polish, which is not a surprise, but it’s a brand that im very new to. Its my very first Deborah Lippman Haul! :D

I am super duper excited! I ordered these polishes online as some website called B-Glowing, I actually found this through Amazon and that’s where I ordered it from but they do have a legit website and they sell authentic products. They had the Deborah Lippman polishes on sale. They only have 2 polishes on sale and I totally loved the colors that they had

I got both of the polishes for $8 :)
• I Know What Boys Like
• I Dreamed You

They sent the package in super nice packaging and i loved how they sent it

B-Glowing was also super nice and send a few samples my way. Ill definitely be buying all of my Deborah Lippman Polish from them. And yes, ill be buying more. Ive tried I Know What Boys Like and the formulation is just amazing!

Ill have a more in depth review soon :) You guys should check out the website because they still have some sale items :D

So I have another review for you guys. And this one will be about the E25 Blending brush. This is suppose to be a dupe for the MAC 217 brush and I’ll be comparing the two.

Review:
So lets first talk about the brush. It has a kind of flat, paddled shape. It’s a little dense, so its ok for packing on color. Its also a little loose so its also pretty great for blending out color. I also like that the handle is pretty long.

Comparison to the MAC 217
The shape of the two are pretty similar. I find that the Sigma one is a lot more thicker and it’s a little bit more longer. The MAC one is a little bit more “compact” so it a little more precise. The Sigma one is much better for blending but the MAC one is better for packing on color. The MAC one is also much denser than the Sigma while the Sigma is a little more “flimsy”
Final Thoughts
So Overall, I kind of prefer the Sigma one a little bit better. It disperses the color a little better but the MAC one does have its good features as well. If you are looking for a dupe for the MAC 217, then the Sigma one is pretty good.

Color Play Tuesday: Purple :)

Hey Guys :)
So i wanted to start this thing called "Color Play" Like many others, i am a VERY neutral girl. I have SO many eyeshadows with a million different colors but i always stay with my many shades of brown. I wanted just atleast one day of the week to play with some of the many colors that i have. Anyway, on to the eye look :)

I mainly used colors from my Urban Decay NYC palette that i had to wait on line for about 4 hours at their preview event a year ago :) It was about time that i used these colors. but anyway, here are the products i used:

REVIEW: NYX's Jumbo Pencil in Milk

Hey Guys
So I have a review today on NYX’s Jumbo Pencil in Milk. I wanna first of all say. WHERE HAS THIS BEEN ALL MY LIFE? I actually didn’t believe in the hype on this. I always bought the other ones. I only bought the shimmer ones. I was never really impressed so I never really bought more. I then decided to buy the the Milk one, I wasn’t expecting much from this because the other ones are a little bit iffy, but when I used it, it pretty much launched its way into my Holy Grail list.

So anyway, here are the pros and cons :)
PROS:
• VERY Pigmented
• A little goes a long way
• It doesn’t crease as much as the other Jumbo pencils
• It has many different purposes
• Works great as an eyeliner

CONS:
Nothing here :)

So I pretty much LOVE this. I shall be buying back ups but I really know they wont be discontinuing it. I think ill purchase one for an up coming giveaway soon :)

Review: Sigma F35 Tapered Highlight Brush

Hey Guys!
So im here with a review on the Sigma F35 Tapered Highlighting brush. If you guys saw my last Mail Haul, I recently got the Sigma Premium Kit from accumulating my LUUUX points. I got a lot of new brushes and i have a lot of opinions on all the brushes. I wont be doing reviews on all of the brushes, but just a few selected ones. This one is the Sigma Tapered Highlight brush.

As the name says, its tapered and i guess its suppose to be for highlight. I have tried it for highlight and since it is tapered, you could highlight small areas like your cheekbones or the bridge of your nose. The brush is still thick enough to highlight the center of your face or anywhere else you'd want to highlight.

Now what i use this brush the most for is contouring. I know its suppose to be for highlight but i personally prefer it for that because it really fits the contours of my face. Well, the few contours of my face lol. The tapered end applies the color well and since it is fairly thick, it blends it out well too.

The first time i used it, there was no shedding and when i cleaned it for the first time too, still no shedding. The brush is very soft and its great to have in your collection :)

So overall, i would give this brush a A. I like brushes that i have a multi purpose.

REVIEW: Stila Illuminating Liquid Foundation

Hey Guys,
So I have a review for you guys today and its on the Stila Illuminating Liquid Foundation. I bought this from Lot Less for about $4 but it is all very authentic. Anyway, I have the shade 60 Watts and 70 Watts. Shockingly, 70 Watts is a little lighter than 60 Watts. But that’s not really much of a problem.

Im gonna give my most Honest opinion. And I have some pretty strong opinions about it.
PROS:
• Feels very light
• Has a dewy finish
• Has a pump (a pretty good one and i can remove it)

CONS:
• Has a “clay” scent
• Doesn’t last very long
• it gets oily after a little bit
• Doesn’t have the most amazing coverage
• Feels more like a tinted moisturizer
• It takes a while for it to dry

So the coverage is not all amazing and the finish of it is ok. I do have oily skin so over time, the finish looks a little shiny. It also doesn’t last very long. Im not a big fan of the texture either. Its quite watery and like I said, it feels more like a tinted moisturizer.

So over all, I don’t really recommend it. It regularly retails for about $38 and I really don’t think its worth it but hey, you could try it out. Im not much of a fan. I just use it when im running quick errands or if I just go out for a short period of time.

Review: Neutrogena Healthy Skin Makeup (:

Hey Guys
So i have a review for you guys. Its on Neutrogena's Healthy Skin Liquid Make Up.

Frankly, i know there was a LOT of hype about this product last year in the beauty community and i believe that it was well deserved. They say that its a dupe for NARS Sheer Glow. I have yet to try it out but if its anything like this foundation, i might just go ahead and invest in it :)

PROS:
• Build-able Coverage
• Has a pleasant scent
• Gives a Dewy Finish (Not to "dewy" even with oily skin)
• Packaging is sleek
• "Conditions" the skin
• Doesnt break ME out (It might break out some people but it works for me)
• Lasts fairly long

CONS:
• No Pump :(
• Can get a little messy
• They dont have the biggest selection of colors

So lets go over the list i have. The others a pretty self explanatory but i wanna explain the whole "dewy" finish thing. I have very oily skin and i really steered away from this foundation. When i finally got the courage to try this, i was surprised that it didnt make me look like a giant grease ball. It kept its dewyness all day and kept my oil in check :) As for the fact that it "conditions" my skin. I have bad acne and when i do get scared that foundations will just make my face break out more, but i found that this foundation keeps little break outs at bay

*I wear the shade Honey Beige 110*

This is definitely my Holy Grail foundation. Ive gone through about 2 bottles since i bought this last year. Thankfully, i match with the darkest shade they have. Hopefully they come out with more shades. If they included a pump, it would be totally perfect!

OOTD: The Statement Necklace :)

Hey Guys :)
So this is my OOTD. Its just something that i threw on. I mostly just put this outfit together because of the necklace :) I found out about this gorgeous necklace through Liliana Lopez and i gotta say THANK YOU SO MUCH! Ive always wanted this necklace but i didnt wanna pay $75 for them. Thankfully Liliana found a dupe for them :) I jumped on that SO fast. I just got it this week and ive been dying to wear it! Anyway, this is how i wore it.

I wore a loose army colored shirt. It is loose so i decided to wear a black tank under it. It was actually perfect because i wore a black and white striped bondage skirt that i got in Forever 21. I was going to wear a plain back skirt but i thought that was too much black, specially for the summer. So i went with the stripes. I also like that theres some type of pattern. other than just the necklace. As for accesories, im not really wearing any braclets or rings. I really wanted the necklace to stand out :) As for shoes, im wearing my Diane Von Furstenberg Sandals that i got from century 21.

OPI's Red Shatter

Hey guys :)
This post is going to be about my recent shatter purchase. I have the black and silver shatter, i thought the black was a little too harsh and the silver BARELY shattered. After playing around with the two, i decided not to buy anymore shatters. I was out one day and i saw the red shatter! It was calling out my name! i tried resisting to it, but i just had to get it! :) When i got home, i tried this out and fortunately, i was wearing a kind of pinkish coral color which is China Glaze's Rosita. I thought that the red and the pink was going to clash together. When i did put it on, i was SO surprised! It actually looked nice.

I found that the red shatter is really feminine and still pretty edgy. As opposed to the black. This is my favorite shatter out of all the ones that i have. Its got that shattered effect that we all love but its not as harsh as the black shatter. Since it is a cream finish, it shatters beautifully :)

So over all, i dont really regret getting it. But it will be the last shatter that i'll ever purchase. I like the idea of the shatter, but i guess im still the kind of girl that just prefers the solid color or the french tip. I like the nail art every now and then, but not all the time. Hopefully, i get to use up my shatters soon but so far, theyre just sitting on my shelf.

OPI - Teenage Dream ♥

Hey Guys
So this is kind of well over due but its about time that i made a post about this polish. Its OPI's Teenage Dream :)

So i want to go ahead and just thank OPI for coming out with this color. So if youre hearing me OPI, i love you very much :) Anyway lets talk about the polish. Its a lot more of a complicated polish. It has tiny specks of little pink glitters. It shines pink in some lights and kinda shines a dusty pink on other lights. It also has big chunky glitters that are kinda holographic. All these beautiful glitters are immersed in a clear but tinted polish.

I know some people consider this a kind of "neutral" glitter. i think its because its not totally "out there" pink. Like its not a bubble gum pink. I said that the tiny glitters kind of shine a dusty pink, im guessing that's what gives it its "neutral" tone. Either way, i love it :)

The pictures that youre seeing now are just 2 BEAUTIFUL COATS!! All the more reason to love it! :) This is my absolute favorite polish no matter what. Im currently looking for a back up of this and hopefully i see it! :)

REVIEW: Tarte For True Blood Palette

Hey Guys,
So i have a review for you guys and its for the Tarte for True Blood Palette

I got this palette for my birthday and i must say im pretty glad i did get it :) So the initial packaging has a really pretty design. I dont think its very "True Blood"-esque until you actually open the palette. I felt that the "corset" type lace is more like a "Moulin Rouge" thing but it still has that vampiric vibe to it.

So theres a little drawer similar to the Urban Decay Book of Shadows that they always release each year except for shadows, they have a mini size of their Lights, Camera, Lashes! Mascara in Black, Lifted Natural Eye Primer and the EmphasEYES Aqua-Gel Eyeliner in Black.

I Havent tried out the mascara but i have used the primer and the eyeliner. First of all, the eyeliner is AMAZING! the most pigmented thing in the world! Its super creamy and its amazing for smudging. This coming from the girl who hates smudging eyeliner. It does have a kind of "wet" feeling at first but once its dry, or when you set it, it will NOT move which is kinda impressive.

As for the primer, nothing really much to say about it. It is a lot less sticky than the UDPP and i feel like it does last a little bit longer than the UDPP.

As for the shadows, it comes with 17 full sized (i believe) shadows that are exclusive to the palette, and They are named perfectly for the palette. With names such as "V", "Glamour Me" and "Waitress". It fits the True Blood persona perfectly. I said that i didnt feel like it was very True Blood, but when i opened the shadows and the inside, THEN i felt that vampire thing :)

As for the shadows themselves, they are a little bit "hard" as compared to other brands like Urban Decay or Wet n Wild even. Nonetheless, they were still quite pigmented. Now for the colors in the palette, i feel like there are a LOT of useable colors here in the palette. Out of the 17 shadows, i would say 11 are great for everyday. The only "colors" for me are "V", Noctural, Moss, Glamour Me, and Immortal are the only ones that i feel like i wouldnt be able to use everyday but other than that, theyre all useable colors.

Another thing that i LOVE about these shadows is that there are shades here with big glitter particles, similar to some Urban Decay Shadows like Midnight Cowboy Rides Again or Sidecar (For those with the Naked Palette) The one difference between the shadows is that the Tarte glitter chunks DONT fall too much. I found that they stayed on my eyelid for the duration of my make up.

Other than the awesome palette, Tarte was nice enough to add in this little booklet where you can duplicate some of the looks from the show, i thought that was a nice touch

Final Thoughts? I Really do like this palette. Other than the fact that im a die hard True Blood fan, and that im a die hard Make Up fan, this palette was made for me and to all the millions who watch it. I would give it an A

So its just about that time for July Favorites again! :)
This time, i dont have a whole lot to show only because i havent been using a lot

Eyes
• Urban Decay Naked Palette - Well surprise, surprise. Look what made it into my favorites :D Since my Urban Decay Haul, ive been using this palette everyday. And when i say "Everyday" i mean EVERYDAY! lol. If its not just a highlight color, its something to darken my crease. I just always reach for it. Plus i like the feel of the velvet :)

• Maybelline One By One Mascara - This specific tube isnt the one ive been using but its much prettier to show than the other tube. Ive been really loving this mascara. I use the water proof version and i just think it hold the curl unbelievably! And i have "asian" lashes. I kinda need the curl to hold or else the lashes would just fall down lol. But anyway, im totally loving this mascara :)

Cheeks
- Ive been reaching for these two things a lot. This has been my summer duo :)

• NARS Exhibit A Blush - I know this might seem like a crazy color but trust me, i just use it with a SUPER light hand, i might like just tapping the brush one time and brush it on my cheeks. The reason that im loving this is because it lasts SO long and during those hot July days, i needed my blush to last :)

• Wet N Wild Princess Bronzer - I heard a lot of good things about this. Im always a little skeptical of bronzer, but i figured, its Wet N Wild, so it must be good. And my assumption was right! :D Its the best bronzer ive ever used! Its currently in my "Holy Grail" List :) I thought that there would be a lot of shimmer in it, but its actually really subtle and its great for contouring :)

Lips

• Cover Girl Lipstick in Fairytale (405) - I have been loving both this color and this lipstick formula :) It lasts SO long! and frankly, i have a LONGGG list of colors im planning to buy. Another thing is that once the lipstick wears off, i leaves a kind of stain that i love :) Im loving the color because i always do a plain eye so a bright color is great :)

• ELF's Liquid Lipstick in Baby Lips - On the other side of the color spectrum, ive been loving this color too. On the days that i do a very light "smoky" eye, i like pairing it with this. I also love that it has that cooling kind of mint feeling which is again, perfect for summer :)

Nails

• OPI's Sparrow Me The Drama - This is a repeat favorite from June :) I just loved it way too much and ive been using it a lot too! It looks amazing with my skin tone and i love it! :D

I actually didnt know about this trend until i saw Amanda Panda's NOTD That was the first time i saw it and ive been meaning to do it. It seemed really complicated and i was right lol. The only used a black nail art and i had to fill in the green with the huge OPI brush and that was a serious pain lol. It look me about 1 hour only because im very neurotic and i wanted it to be very straight so i had to be meticulous about it. but the end it looks nice and i guess it was worth it? lol

OOTD: Beating the Heat B)

Hey guys!
So there is a heat wave here in NYC this week, and as much as i like staying at home in my nice and newly decorated room, i HAD to go outside. It was about 101 degrees out so i had two big no-no's when i was getting ready. NO Jeans and NO Dark Colors. I wanted something that moved with the very little and very humid wind. So i decided to wear a dress. This is actually a big milestone for me because i NEVER wear dresses. Skirts; sure, ill wear one in a heart beat. But a dress? oh hell no lol. But i had to beat the heat some how right?

Anyway, enough digression. On the the OOTD.

So i decided to wear this super thin dress from H&M. I believe i got it for around $12. It was really nice and light and i LOVED the color.

As for accessories, Im just wearing my usual necklace that i wear everyday. I really forgot where I got it. Ive owned it for some time now.

Now for shoes, i just threw on these super cute sandals that i got from Bakers about 3 years ago. No joke, theyve held on quite well :)

Final Overview:
• Dress: H&M
• Necklace: No clue LOL
• Sandals: Bakers (LONG TIME AGO! :O)

Matching Nail Polish with Rings♥

Hey guys!
I have a different kind of nail polish post for you guys. Its all about matching your nail polish with your rings :D

Ive known about this concept for quite some time. I saw it in Allure magazine like months ago. They showcased a few nail polishes with statement rings or cocktail rings that matched perfectly with nail polishes. Ive always wanted to do that but it is kind of impossible to find a ring that matched my nail polishes. It look me a while to do it, but this is the 3 polishes that matched the rings i have :)

• This is the first polish/ring duo that i saw. I bought the ring at H&M a few days ago, so if you want it, im sure its still there. The polish im using is OPI's Planks a Lot This really matches quite perfectly. Theyre both a nice cream finish and the color is perfect.

• Next is this ring. I got this from my mom and i have no idea where she got it, but i did find a polish that kind of matched it. I found that China Glaze's Flyin' High I matched it with the blue of the ring and it does match it pretty well.

• This is the last duo I have, This isnt the best possible match, but i wasnt gonna go out and buy a nail polish just to match my nail polish lol. But like the last ring, i have no idea where you guys could get this. I think my friend got me this ring, but the polish i paired up with it is Maybelline's La La Lime. I actually thought that the polish was a straight up cream but it actually has a slight shimmer to it which i think matches the green ring nicely.

So have you guys done this before? I certainly havent. I first wanna say, i dont really want you guys to go out and buy a ring or a nail polish just because it matched a ring you have. Try checking out your own collection and maybe their might be a coincidence that you'll have something that matches :)

Maybelline - Summer N' Spice

Hey Guys,
This is Maybelline's Summer N' Spice. This is actually the first time i tried out this polish. I wasnt expecting much but the moment i swiped it on, it was SO opaque. Now since it is a shimmer, i kinda did expect it. But nontheless, it was still a little impressive. It wasnt very runny, it was the perfect consistency.

Anyway, for the color. I think that its a very pretty kind of bronze color. It reminds me of rust, but in the very good way. Its kind of like a rose gold color. I dont know how to decribe it, its a very unique color. It has a kind of silver sheen too. I really like it.

NOTD: Ube Swirl :P

Hey guys
So i got the hang of the marbling business and this is my first offical marble manicure :)

Since this is marbling, not all of the patterns will look the same. They actually dont look very similar except for the colors I used *which will be listed below*

They just kinda look like swirls, and because of the colors i used. Hence the name "Ube Swirl" (Where are my filipinos at? :D) Well Ube is a delicacy in the Philippines and its VERY commonly used in all types of desserts. Its used in cakes, shakes, ice cream, you name it, and its probably been done :) If you guys are unfamiliar with Ube, the english name of it is Purple Yam. Its REALLY good but i digress.

Urban Decay Haul :D

Hey guys!
i wanted to share with you guys my Urban Decay Haul! :D
Im SO excited for this! this is one part of my mom's birthday gift for me.

But anyway, i wanna go ahead and talk about Urban Decay first. I actually ordered from the actual Urban Decay website as opposed to Sephora or Ulta.

Lemme just say, they have a pretty good shipping and customer service. They sent me an email about how they might ship the package a little late so i figured it would be late, but it got it about a few days from when i recieved the email about the shipping confirmation.

I opened the box and I saw so much paper in the box. The first thing i was doing was looking for my products but when i calmed down a little bit, i saw that the paper they wrapped everything in was this really pretty light lavender/purple color. i LOVED it :) im keeping the paper just because of it

The main reason for my UD haul, is to get my hands on the Naked Palette! i was SO happy that i finally have my hands on this. The minute i opened it, i tried it out :)

I unfortunately got the one with the brush. I like the brush though. Its not so bad. Its suppose to be an eyeshadow brush but it feel a little bit more like a very tiny concealer brush, but it still works fine.

Other than, i got this cream eyeshadow, i kinda only got it because i wanted free shipping but i did get this in my most favorite color ever. This is in the shade Mushroom, i have the same shadow shade in a palette and thats my most favorite eyeshadow shade out of all of my eyeshadows. Im hoping the cream shadow would be the same

Now the time that i ordered from them, they were give out 3 deluxe samples and theyre pretty big samples.

I got this Lip Junkie Lipgloss in Wallflower. Its a really nice lipgloss, i used to own one but i stopped buying it because its way to expensive

I got this mini version of their infamous UDPP in Eden. this was partially the main reason i ordered from them because of this. This is usually $5 in Sephora so the fact that UD just gave this away is pretty incredible.

They also threw in this sample of the UD Stardurst Eyeshadow in Retrograde. I heard some great things about this, so im excited to try it out :)

The last sample i got is the Pocket Rocket lipgloss. I havent opened it, its going straight to my sample box.

1st Time Water Marbling ♥

Hey Guys,
So this is My 1st Time Water-Marbling. Now before i start, i kinda went a little swirl happy, and i kinda just grabbed whatever polishes i could. ill try to name what polishes i used but i have a feeling im not gonna have a full list. For my first time, i actually didnt think i did too bad of a job. I did watch a TON of water marbling videos 1st before doing this. My Favorite is Colette's Youtube or check out her blog "My Simple Pleasures", she does some really cool marble designs.

Anyway, i watched about a dozen of her videos and copied her own technique so mind you, this is all her techniques and i must say, for my first time, she made it really easier and less messy so thanks for the tips Colette :)

Now on to the nails, For a base, i used OPI's Fiercely Fiona because thats what i was wearing all week

• Thumb: Wet n Wild's Sapphire Blue and China Glaze's In The Limelight

• Pointer Finger: China Glaze's White on White and Wet n Wild's Lavender Pearlescent

• Middle Finger: China Glaze's White on White, Wet n Wild's Lavender Pearlescent and China Glaze's Pink Underground

• Ring Finger: China Glaze's In The Limelight, Essie's Going Incognito, and Essie's Chinchilly *This one is my favorite out of all of it them :)

• Pinky: OPI's Done Out in Deco and Sally Hansen's Xtreme Wear Purple Potion

So on my opinion on water marbling, I think that you need some patience for it, theres so many steps to it! thats why watching some videos on it might help. I recommend this to someone with a fairly big nail polish collection, which im sure most people here have lol. This is a VERY polish consuming method and if you have some polishes that are just sitting in the back of your collection, (like me) i suggest this method. I actually like this! i have about 120+ polishes and thats after i gave a lot away to my friends. It gives me more use of my polishes that i dont ever use.

OPI - Fiercely Fiona :)

Hey guys,
So this is OPI's Fiercely Fiona. Its summer and im on a serious yellow kick. I tried to look into my collection for one that wasnt sheer. This was the only one i had.

Now for the color, i would say that is isnt fully yellow. It kinda has a hint of green. this is from the Shrek Collection from last year i think, so i think that OPI was centering this color on what they thought Fiona's skin would look like if she was real and i say good job OPI :) from personal experiences, i say this looks a LOT like an unrippen mango. i think filipinos know what im talking about right? mango with bagoong, YUM :D

Now since i raved about the color so much, lets talk about its formulation. I really do love the color but i BARELY wear this polish and theres a reason for it. The formula of this is SO ridiculously difficult to work with! It is opaque, ill give it that but it applies so streaky and kinda really hard. I hate having to deal with it. I take about 3 coats for a nice even and not bumpy coat.

Other than the bad formulation, its not a bad color. it really suits my skin tone for a yellow. This color stains so i do have to wear a base coat but then again i really didnt mind so much.

Recent Obsessions: Nude Pumps and Lady GaGa ♥

Hey Guys,
I havent done any of these "Recent Obsession" posts in a while, and well i have a HUGE obsession/s lately. I wanted to share it with you guys.

As you can see from the title, my Recent Obsession has been Nude Pumps and Lady GaGa
This might be a huge turn from what I usually post here, which is mostly just nail swatches and nail arts. But hey, the only thing sure in life is change, and here is a little change from the routine.

I think i'll be doing more of these posts because theyre kinda quick and it gives more of a personal side of me. So here we go :)

Now i know nude pumps are NOT a new concept. They've been around for quite some time and i think that Kim Kardashian made them a house hold concept. They make your legs longer, and make your but elevated, which is ALWAYS a plus.

Anyway, my 18th birthday is about to come and i needed new shoes for my Debut (a kind of filipino sweet 16, but for girls its on your 18th birthday and for guys its on their 21st) I decided to pick up my first nude pumps. EVER. I cant believe that i never had these in my life before! Now to be totally fair, these are low pumps only because i cannot walk in really tall heels for the life of me, and im 5'6, i dont really think i need any more height.

The pumps i got (well, what my mom got for me) are from Kensie. Im not the most familiar with this brand, but if they made these, then they must be amazing right? These were originally $50, but we got them for $35. If you guys wanna snag yourself a pair, i found them HERE. Well anyway, these are SO comfy, the minute that we got it, i threw them on and put my sandals in the bag. They still make me kinda tall, but eh i can deal with the height a little. They are a little light for me because im a tiny bit dark skinned, but they still look very nude and very gorgeous. They are DEFINITELY obsession material :)

So for my next obsession is Lady GaGa. To be fair, ive been obsessed with her for quite some time. You are in the presence of one of her little monster. Well I actually caved and got her CD. This might be the first CD that ive bought in a long time. The last one was probably Hilary Duff haha!

But anyway, i wanted to share with you guys my favorite song out of all of the songs in the album, and thats "Hair" Not only is it an amazing song, if you saw the comments on the youtube video on this, you would cry. I did. I was SO touched by the nice comments that people said about how the song touched them. I really shed a tear. I was so touching and it was amazing what kind of effect she had on them. On that note, Lady GaGa is definitely Obsession material.

Brushes
- I really have been loving these brushes. Nothing much to say, just pure love :D

• ELF's Studio Powder Brush - I just recently got this, but im already loving it! ive been using it everyday since i got it. Click HERE to check out my more in depth review

• Sigma's E40 Tapered Blending Brush - Ive been reaching for this brush more than i expected myself to. Its just the perfect brush for almost everything. Click HERE to check out my review on it

Lips
- So ive been getting really lazy with my eye make up lately, ive been needing something to make my make up pop, Ive been loving the bright lip and simple eye lately and here are just some of my favorites

• MAC's Viva Glam Cyndi - Im sure you guys all have this but im seriously just loving it. Its sheer but in a good way. Its coral but it still has that hint of red that makes it so bright and just really brightens my complexion

• NYX's Miracle - This is probably my most favorite lippie for the season. Its just so amazing. I dont know how else to describe it. Just look at my review HERE :)

Fragrance
- My fragrances have been fluctuating the entire month, i get bored a lot with my fragrances, but this is the stand out fragrance for me :D

•Bath & Body Works' "Into The Wild" - So this has been my unofficial scent for June. Ive been going on and off with my lotions and stuff, but ive been reaching for this the most. I know some people dont like this because its a little too musky for a spring scent, but i happen to like it. I know scents react differently with other people, and i like how this wears on me

Eyes
-Its summer, and well ive changed my eye make up routine pretty drastically. No more gray smokes for me, I usually use just one color and smudge a little liner on the top, Ive been reaching for this trio SO much lately

Cheeks
- I haven't really done much with my cheeks because i tend to stick with the same thing when i like it. This is the only blush ive been using :D

• MAC's Hipness Blush - This has literary been my go-to blush for the month. I always wear this no matter what my eye look, or lips are. Its just so flattering. Its bright but not that bright that it looks like a have super coral cheeks.

Nails
- Ive been really liking pinks this month but thats towards the middle and the end of the month. Ive been using mints for the beginning of the month. Here are some stand out nail products for this month :)

• Sally Hansen's Mint Sorbet - In the beginning of June, i was still obsessed with pastel colors because of spring. This has been a serious go-to polish for me. This is actually an exact dupe for Chine Glaze's Re-Fresh Mint. I was skeptical on it, but when i painted them on together, they were like long lost twins :)

• Seche Vite Top Coat - I am now a believer of the Seche Vite Top Coat. I went into full depth of it HERE.

• OPI's Steady As She Rose - This is my second favorite out of the whole Pirates Of The Caribbean collection. its so ironic that i paid didnt give this a second chance. I actually didnt like it until i painted it on my fingers. I never really wear anything for more than 3 days, but this time i did. I dont really regret it though. Check out more swatches HERE

• OPI's Sparrow Me The Drama - I LOVE this color. This is my favorite from the entire collection (for the month) Again its ironic because this is the one color that i didnt really pay attention to, and it ended up being my favorite. I have a post on it. just click HERE :)

Review: Sigma E40 Tapered Blending Brush

Hey Guys,
I actually wanted to review this brush for you guys because i have been using it more than what ive expected. Its the Sigma E40 Tapered Blending Brush :)

Now i know this is suppose to be a "blending" brush as the name suggests but i feel that it does more than that. Ive used this for multiple ways.

Weirdly enough I dont use this for blending! Im not really one to blend different colored eyeshadows on a daily basis, so im not exactly used to using this for blending colors like a blue with a green. I still used it for blending and it does a fair job in blending. I feel that the hairs are little too long for it to blend some colors amazingly. it still does the job but i feel like i need a little extra time blending as opposed to something a bit denser. It is pretty flimsy, but theres a fair amount of density in it.

Now im not mad that it doesnt blend that well, im not mad at ALL. Since i wanted to give this another shot, i went ahead and tried it many times. My everyday make up routine, consists of a simple champagne on the lid and contouring on the crease. I usually use about 3 brushes, but when i got this brush, this is all i needed. I use this for a light wash of color on lid and since i use kind of highly pigmented shades (Wet N Wild shadows lol) I only need a tiny bit of it and it does the job. It spreads the color amazingly.

Now for contouring, I have to say, it does a better job than a denser brush. I find that I really get a defined lid when i used this to contour. I use a very light hand and I just pretty much rock it back and forth to create a "faux" lid, as i like to call it :)

I usually darken the outer corners of my lids with a bit of a darker shade, and sometimes when i used a bit of a dense brush, i put too much on the brush and make it look too dark. With this brush, i pick up very little product and i get to have more control which is awesome!

Final Thoughts? : I gotta say, it might not be the best for blending, but it is definitely amazing for every other job that i used it for.

NOTD: It Aint Always Peachy Keen

Hey Guys,
I wanted to share with you this combo. I was wearing China Glaze's Peachy Keen. I wanted to put a black shatter, but thats been done to death. I also wanted to use up my shatters, so here is it with OPI's Silver Shatter.

This is actually my favorite picture of it. The silver shatter looks kinda sheer here and the peach polish looks like its peaking through.

Thats it. I dont really have much to say about this, i was kinda hoping for your opinion :)

Summer Go-To Trio: Wet N Wild's I'm Getting Sunburned

Hey guys,
I wanted to share this trio with you guys, now i know this isnt a fairly new trio. It came out a LONG time ago but i wanted to just share it because this has been my Go-To trio for the summer. Ive been reaching for this so many times, more than i would expect to use! Well its the Wet N Wild "I'm Getting Sunburned" trio :)

Lets go over the PROS and CONS of this first.

Pro:
-Highly Pigmented
-Easily Accessible (Now they are lol)
-Compact (Great for travel)
-Compliments Brown/Hazel Eyes (might be a con to some)
-Easily Blendable

Cons:
-Shadows are a little too soft

So thats pretty much the initial PROS and CONS to it. Now for my opinion to this trio. I LOVE it. I actually wasnt too crazy over it the first time i got it but now, i am :) I use the colors the most individually for just a nice wash of color. Since its summer, i dont wanna always do an intricate eye look. I just reach for this, a fluffy brush and some mascara and im good eye-wise. Since it is highly pigmented, It gives me less time to work on my eyes, which is always a good thing. I dont have to take my time packing on color too much.

Now for the colors, i know some people might be a little scared of using the pinkish purple on their eyes, but i tried just this color on my lids and blended it a little up, and it actually looks amazing with brown eyes. Another thing, i love just applying gold to my eyes for the summer and the gold in this trio is really perfect :) My only complaint on this palette is the brown color. Now dont get me wrong, i love that its very pigmented, its great for maybe a smokey eye, but when i wanna use it for everyday, i have to be SO careful. Even a tap of my brush, and its too much! I still love it, but i just have to be careful with it.

NOTD: Roses are red :-*

Hey Guys,
So i just wanted to share with you guys this NOTD. Well its actually just a nail art. Its fairly simple, Its just a bunch of roses LOL

I originally just had a plain white nail polish on, i heard that it was a pretty big trend right now. I put it on and let it dry, i reached out my hand to see my nails and it didnt look that amazing on. It made me look really tan, and since i was already tan, i wasnt a very big fan. SO i was about to reach for my polish remover, but then i realized "hey, i have a blank canvas, why not just make some nail art" I had this new shirt that had a bunch of roses on it, i LOVED the print so much, i decided to paint it on my nails

Its actually kind of a fail. I could have done a better job but its kind of sloppy. I just used a toothpick and the actual nail polish brush. I hope you guys like it :)

As for the steps, i just painted on a white nail polish as a base (China Glaze's White On White *Third Polish*) you can use whatever base you want, this is just want i already had on. I then painted some imperfect red dots all over (China Glaze's Scarlet *Second Polish*) After the red dried, i put some random pink blobs and i did this really fast. (China Glaze's Sexy Lady) I then added some of the white i used on the back ground and used a toothpick to swirl the pink and white. After THAT dried, i used another tooth pick and used a green polish (OPI's Jade Is The New Black *Fourth Polish*) and made little leaves all over, i just made about 1 to 2 leaves. After everything dried, i put a top coat in (Seche Vite *Last Polish*)

OPI - Sparrow Me The Drama :)

Hey Guys,
So this is another polish from the Pirates of The Caribbean collection. This is one of the pinks that i didnt even pay attention to. It was probably the biggest mistake of my life but thank fully, I took a second look at these polishes. This is Sparrow Me The Drama

*In Natural Light*

So lets describe the color, I would describe it as a nice pastel pink. I would say its kind of on a warmer side so it kinda leans a little "orange" but it doesnt look very orange. I would say that its perfect for summer. If you guys wear this with a tan, it would look SO good. I can probably say that now because im ALWAYS tan lol. Again, this is another color that is very hard to describe. Ill let you guys decide what color this is :)

*In Artificial Light*

As for the formula, its similar to all of the formulas in the collection, which is absolute perfection :) This specific one was opaque at 2 coats. But i was a little skeptical on it so the pictures that youre seeing now is 3 coats :) The formulation of all these polishes just make me happy :D

Review: ELF Studio Powder Brush :)

Hey Guys,
So im here with yet another review. This time its for ELF's Studio Powder Brush. So if you didnt see my haul with this, ill talk a little bit more on my back story on this brush.

So this brush is actually very popular on blogs, youtube and any area that discusses make up. I always never believed it. Im always one to follow the hype but this time, i thought it was way too good to be true. Another factor that led me to hold off on buying this is i saw it in action on a youtube video. She was using this brush and i thought it was SO flimsy. Another thing, my target was always OUT of it. That should have been a sign that it was good right? But anyway, this one time that my target had it, i decided to pick it up. I thought why not? it was just $3 and i didnt know what everyone was loving about it. Well while i was still in the store, i decided to take a feel on the bristles. I must have screamed because i wouldnt believe how amazingly soft and dense it was!

I immediately took off my foundation when i got home and layered on another foundation using the brush. It was amazing!

So as for my review on this, Its pretty much amazing, nothing but good things on this brush. It leaves a really nice kind of air brushed finish. I tried it with about 3 different foundations and it blends in the foundations amazingly. I found myself using less foundation too because it just disperses the foundation so evenly. It still buffs it in and gives a nice smooth finish :)

The only con i might have with this is that my target is always out with it! but then again, thats nothing against the brush :)

So final thoughts, i LOVE it.

NOTD: Final Hurrah :P

Hey guys,
So this is my actual Nail Of The Day. I wore this for about an hour. I was wearing China Glaze's Grape Pop; :) and well i wanted to change my nail polish but i thought i wanted to do a nail design first.

well, lets just say i went a little too crazy and came up with this. Im calling this my Final Hurrah because this is the only time im playing around with this manicure.

So let me tell you about what i did here. I actually first applied Revlon's glitter polish in Star to my thumb and ring finger. I thought it didnt look too nice so i put a diagonal shatter on the rest of my fingers. I used OPI's Black shatter. after that, i put a white stripe and then i put the same glitter over the shatter.

yes, im a crazy person lol. but hey, whats your preference? let me know in the comments about this nail art. If you say it sucks, i wouldnt be offended, cus well i dont like it myself lol

Summer Fashion Haul :)

Hey Guys,
So I wanted to share with you guys this Fashion Haul. This is specifically my Summer Fashion Haul because a lot of the things im showing is mostly summer oriented (well, for me it is :D)

So anyway, lets get to the haul :)

- My mom got me a light cardigan from Armani Exchange. Its super long but still super light :)

My favorite thing about it is the complicated looking gold buttons :)

- I got this light lime colored V-neck from Forever 21, i always get V-necks a size bigger because i prefer the look of baggy V-necks. Anyway, i think the color of this is just SO bright and perfect for summer

- I got this stripped black and white bondage skirt from Forever 21. Frankly, it not very summer like but im loving these types of skirts :)

- I got this very pretty dress from Forever 21, its fairly tight but the material is very nice and light. I love the tribal print on it. Its a very nice fit too

- I got this off the shoulder crop top with feather prints from Forever 21. I wouldnt really wear this alone, but i would wear it with a tank underneath. Its a fairly thin material so its great for summer

- I got this dress from Century 21 and I actually LOVED the print of this. Again, the material is very light and i love the shape of it. The main thing that i love about this is the print :)

Here's a more close up view of the print and the color. I dunno, it just came out to me :)

- I got this kinda plain necklace. It just has these beads and things on it. Its on a really short chain, so ill have to change it before i wear it

- I got this silver cross from Forever 21. Its really simple, nothing really special but i loved it

- I got this really pretty three finger ring from Forever 21, its pretty self explanatory. its just plain gorgeous :)

Here's what it looks like on my fingers. I REALLY love it and im glad i finally got a ring like this. ive been looking forever for one :)

- I got this really simple rose ring from Forever 21. I actually thought it would be bigger, but eh, i kinda like it though. its nice and demure

Here's what it looks like on my hand. You can see its a little transparent so i think it would go with any outfit :) I have a feeling its gonna be a daily ring

Well thats it guys, frankly im very happy with my purchases. I would say im about 50% ready for summer now. I just need some beach gear and it think ill be good :)

China Glaze - Grape Pop

Hey guys,
so i wanted to show you guys one of the best purple polishes ive ever seen. Its China Glaze's Grape Pop. Its pretty much a really simple purple creme polish. Its really vibrant. and while it looks dark, its still bright which i think is kinda hard to find in purple polishes. I dont really know how else to describe it, its just gorgeous

So as for consistency and opaqueness. This was probably the best in both categories. Its not too think or too runny. its just right. Once i applied it, i was anticipating applying like 3 coats. but when i applied that first coat, i was seriously amazed! I have a picture of it to show you guys. without the flash, you can see that its VERY opaque and pigmented. but once the flash was on, you can kinda see that it is one coat. but either way it was a VERY light coat. its seriously a great polish

Review: Seche Vite and Clear Top Coat

I am now a believer!
So for so long, i always hated Seche Vite mainly because i hear so many bad things about it. I heard that it gets goopy and thick really fast and that it has that harmful chemical in it. I also kinda hated the price, i feel like $8 is too much for something ill use up fast. I never wanted to pick it up mainly because i had my INM Out The Door top coat plus its only like $4. Well i ran out of my top coat, and i decided to try out Seche Vite. I got it for a great deal at CVS, I got a duo of the Seche Vite Top Coat and Seche Clear Base coat for $8.99 I figured im getting two things for the price of one so why not try it.

Oh. My. Goodness!

I absolutely LOVE this top coat! I have never had something this good! I would say that this dries as fast as the Out The Door top coat, maybe a little bit faster. This also leaves the most glossy finish EVER! I was SO amazed. Usually with my Out The Door top coat would lose its glossy-ness after a few days, but this never really lost its shine. Even after putting so much lotion on, the shine was still there! its AMAZING! :D

Now on my opinion about the harmful chemical in it. Well this effect pregnant women and the fumes from the top coat can cause complications for pregnant women. No offense, but i really dont plan on getting pregnant any time soon LOL That doesnt really mean that I support the face that they use it. Thats probably the only con that i have on this product.

Over all, I really do recommend this for anyone NOT pregnant or around pregnant people. but i really do love this top coat

I am now a serious believer on the Seche Vite system :D

NOTD: Who Rebelled Pink :)

Hey Guys,
So this is my NOTD featuring Color Club's Rebel Debutante.

Now before talking about the polish, I just wanna say that this is really meant to be put on top of another polish obviously because its SO sheer. Because of that, there really isnt much to say about it. I think its still pretty though. Since it was so sheer, i didnt wanna take 5 coats just to get it to be thick, and i was sure it wasnt gonna be thick. So i put it over Orly's Who's Who Pink

Rebel Debutante is a shimmer top coat. it has a really fine red micro glitter. in different lights, it could shine pink, and in some lights, it shines red. Since i put it over a more pinky-neutral color, it can show both of the shines.

Frankly, i loved this combo. Its still pretty neutral but it has a certain sparkle and shine to it :)

My First Orly Polish - Who's Who Pink

Hey guys,

so this is my first Orly nail polish :) I was actually looking for a brighter/neutral pink that Michele1218 always talks about but i could never find it. I went to the Orly section and i saw they had a bunch of polishes on clearance, I saw this polish and i HAD to pick it up.

So anyway, lets talk about the color. This is a gorgeous peachy neutral color. it has a kind of complicated shimmer to it. Its kinda silver in some lights and blue in some lights. Its really pretty. Its a perfect neutral color for my skin tone.

Now for opaqueness, I picked up the bottle and i KNEW it was gonna be the sheerest thing in the entire world but when i swatched it at home, it was actually nicely opaque! This manicure took about a good 2-3 coats. I LOVED it. Im loving this polish a lot.

OPI - Steady As She Rose

Hey Guys,
So yet another OPI swatch but this is a special kind of swatch. This is almost my most favorite OPI color so far. Its Steady As She Rose

So as many of you guys know, this is from the Pirates of The Caribbean collection. This is actually the color that i didnt really pay much attention to. I thought "Oh, its just gonna be another plain light pink color" I got to the store and I actually was there on a mission just to buy Strangers Tides, Mermaid's Tears and Skull and Glossbones (Which will have their own posts :D) and i didnt even glance at the Pinks of the collection. The 2nd time I went to the store, i decided to take a look at the pinks. OMG i really dont know why i didnt look at them first.

So lets talk about the wonderful color. I really dont know how else to explain this. I thought it was like a lilac color with a hint of pink and a hint of purple. its actually really complicated. I have absolutely nothing like it. I also kinda has a hint of gray. Its such a gorgeous color. i really love it :D

As for formulation, this gave me full opacity in 2-3 coats. Which is pretty amazing. I actually thought this was gonna be a sheer polish. I was very surprised :)

Hey guys,
So i wanted to share with you this NOTD. Its a fairly simple. Its just a polish over a shatter polish.

I think its a fairly cute combo. Again, the glitter i used is purely for eye candy lol.
Well i used my Lucky Nail Polish, if you guys remember that post. Its OPI's Cozu-Melted In The Sun. I was about to take it off, but then i thought.

"Hmmm, i wonder what this looks like over a shatter?"

Well i did it, and its not too shabby. Frankly, i took it off right after because well its my lucky nail polish and i didnt want any bad luck on it. That's why im calling this NOTD "Shattered Luck"

Spring Lips: NYX - Miracle

Hey guys, so i know i havent posted something in forever! but this is my last post on my Spring Lips. I know spring is basically over but this last one would work for both summer and spring :)

So anywho, here is the last lippie that i have for you guys :) It is NYX's Round lipstick in Miracle

Its a really bright coral. its borderline orange actually. Its not as bright as NYX's Rose which is almost like a red, this one is a little different. It has some really pretty gold flecks in it. The gold shimmer makes it a little lighter and makes it a gorgeous coral color. Its very pigmented so if you want the same color as you see on my swatch, a few swipes would be ok. The way i use it, is that i just pat it on lightly with some concealer or foundation. Click here to check out my Bare Lips to really check out how pigmented it is

Hey guys,
Welcome to another segment on my Spring Lips series. We are winding down on the lippies and this is the second to the last. Well a lot of things must come to an end right?

So anywho, up next on the stage is MAC's Hot Sass Dazzle Lipstick. Im so sorry but i think that this is a limited edition shade. It is a dazzle lipstick and i believe thats a limited edition texture. I have a review on these on my blog is you wanna check it out. ill put the link below to my review.

So Hot Sass is a really bright orange color. It shines like a gold sometimes. Its kind of a bright coral. I dont really know how to fully describe it, its just really glittery.

For a dazzle lipstick, which is essentially just a "glitter" lipstick, it does cover and leave a nice coat of glitter on your lips. just like a dazzleglass. Frankly, i loved the dazzle lipsticks, i have 2 other shades of it.

Nail Polish Haul + 1st Birthday Gift :)

Hey guys,
I have a tiny haul for you guys. I got these things this week and i thought id share it with you guys :)

So i first wanna share my first birthday gift for this year. Im turning 18 this year and well thats a pretty big milestone :) so anyway, my friend got me my first birthday gift. She knows how much i love my make up and all things beauty. I mean everyone does lol. I always gave her little reviews on products so she decided to give me one :)

So she got me some Lush goodies :) this is actually my first lush products and she didnt know that but i LOVE that she got these for me :)
She got me 2 shampoos:

- Rehab: I tried this out already and so far its going good. It smells fairy herbal and i will have a review of this soon :D
- I Love Juicy: I have yet to try it, but i will give you guys a review of this soon

Of course i got some polishes :)
- Wet N Wild's Gray's Anatomy: Ive been looking for this EVERYWHERE! i finally picked it up and its basically a nice duochrome color like OPI's Not Like The Movies

- OPI's Steady As She Rose: I went to the store and took a second look. i just HAD to get it :D i will definitely have a post soon :)

-OPI's Sparrow Me The Drama: I was getting the other polish from the collection so i thought i might as well get it. Will do a post soon :)

-OPI's I Vant to be A-Lone Star: Nothing much to say about this, i kinda picked it up on a while. its a nice shimmery light blue

So i went to TJ Maxx with my sister and we were browsing through their very small cosmetics section. Usually they would have bits and bobs of things but then i spotted this. They were a duo of full sized OPI polishes for 7.99 :) I was a seriously happy camper. and since it was TJ Maxx, i switched out some colors with something i liked. score right?
So the polishes that i got were:

- Lemonade Stand By Your Man: Its a sheer yellow color. Im actually wearing it right now on my nails as i type this :)
- Give Me a Coral Sometimes: It seems like a gorgeous reddish coral color. I will be wearing it on my toes next :)

Im not gonna lie, the little bag really got to me and i HAD to pick it up cus it was way too cute to pass up :)

SO anyway, thats my super tiny haul :) i hope you guys liked it

China Glaze - Peachy Keen

Hey guys,
this is my RAVE for China Glaze's Peachy Keen.
Let me just first talk about the formulation and all the boring stuff. I felt that the formula was a little streaky but it was fairly opaque after 2 coats but i could still see my nail lines. I dont know about you guys but when i wear a creme color, i want it to be totally opaque that i cant see my nail lines. Well that 3rd coat really got it for me :)

Now lets talk about the color. I actually thought this wouldnt look like anything special, but when i got it. I just stared at it for about a good 3 minutes. It is such a unique color! Theres actually something that reminds me of this color. It reminds me of when you mix ketchup and mayo together LOL (ah, nostalgia) But anyway, its like a super nice pastel coral. It seems like it would be a nude, but its very bright! like brighter than what i expected. I noticed that it made my nails really pop even though they seem so "neutral" It also went with alot of my outfits, from bright florals or even a simple all black outfit.

Spring Lips: NYX - Rose

Hey Guys, So like i said from my last Spring Lips Post which was forever ago, (if you still wanna see it, its on ELF's Gypsy Lipstick) Were into the brights section of this series. Its gonna be full of so many bright lippies that its gonna BLIND you lol

I first wanna say that im SO sorry i slacked on this series. I have a few more posts and these the up coming posts are actually my favorite so far :)

So anyway, enough chit chat. On the the lipstick :) So this is NYX's Rose lipstick. Its in their $2 dollar range or $4, depends on whos selling them :) This is a more of a "dark" bright color because its like a brighter red color. Its a creme shade so absolutely no shimmers. Since this lipstick is from their Round Lipstick line, i can tell you that its VERY moisturizing and its very pigmented too. It leaves kind of a glossy finish. I always feel like it doesnt last too long because its SO light but it actually lasts for a good maybe 2-4 hours.

Now for the color, i already mentioned that its a red color, but i would think of it like MAC's Viva Glam Cyndi but much more pigmented. Its like the amplified version of it. I would think this would look great with a simple winged eyeliner :)

OPI - What's With The Cattitude

Hey guys,

this is OPI's What's With The Cattitude. It was released with the Shrek Forever After Collection last year i believe. Its a very VERY bright light blue, it was so hard to take a picture of it because it was too bright. But anyway, i would describe it as a "Sky Blue on a Sunny Day" Type of blue. Its just that bright! Some have said that its more like a Robin's Egg type color and i would agree. It looks a lot like the Chanel nail polish Nouvelle Vague. Now for the formulation, despite what you see on the bottle (Mine looks like its separated and sheer) its quite opaque for a light color and we all know how hard it is to have an opaque color. This took a good 3 coats and im very picky about my creme polishes.

Anyway, final thoughts, i love it. Its amazing for spring and its a nice pastel color. What do you think about this color? :)

Spring Lips: ELF - Gypsy

Hey guys, We are now entering the Brights section of my Spring Lips series. If you haven't seen my other posts, just do the clicky thing there :)

Anyway, i know ive been posting a lot of lippies that are more or less "High End" so this time i have a lot of upcoming posts that are very affordable :) Just like this one. This is an ELF Lipstick, and its called Gypsy. Its a creme sort of magenta color. its very opaque. I would say that this is for one of those days that you wanna go lazy on your eye make up :) I actually reach for it when i have a super simple eye.

My Lucky Nail Polish: OPI's Cozu-melted in the Sun :)

Hey guys,
So I just wanted to share with you guys my favorite/lucky nail polish. Its OPI's Cozu-melted in the Sun. Im not sure if i already did a post on this but whatever, this polish needs more recognition. Well i call this my "Lucky" nail polish for many different reasons. This is bottle is actually the 1st bottle i ever bought that i took a chance on. This was the first polish that i picked up on a whim. It opened my eyes to polish and it made me say "Hey, why not?" a lot more towards polishes.

So anyway, i call it my "Lucky" polish because the first time i wore this polish, i had nothing but good luck come my way. I aced so many of my tests and ever since then i always wore this on a big tests. I wore it this week because i had an Advanced Placement test (AP) for Biology. I worked SO hard for this test, but i figured it'll be nice to have a little luck on my side, and weirdly enough i did have some luck! :D

Anyway, enough babbling about my life, lets talk about the polish! Contrary to what you see in the bottle, this is A LOT more opaque. Its a very nice shimmery/glittery color. I would describe it as a bright peachy color with a tinge of coral. its quite unique. I would think that its work appropriate for those who cant wear extravagant colors. From a far, you'll see that it looks like kind of a normal color but you'll see some fine silver glitters. Its not like a "BAM!" glitter, its more like "Oh, yeah im here too" glitter. It doesnt over power the color, it actually accentuates it :)

OPI Pirates of the Caribbean Haul :D

Hey guys :D
This is a joyous occasion :) I finally was able to get my hands on the new OPI Pirates of the Caribbean polishes! Lemme just tell you guys how LONG i had to wait to get these polishes. I had to wait because well i dont have an Ulta anywhere near me, and the beauty supply places that i get my polishes in didnt have it. It took them a whole month of calling and annoying the people in the store till one day. Right after my test, I called up nonchalantly and asked if they had it. The lady (she was SO sweet too!) i asked her when they were coming in and she said theyre in now. She even set aside a full set of the collection for me. I wanted to get ALL of it but i had some self control that day. Ill probably be picking up the others too LOL

So anyway here are the polishes that i got. Probably didnt need them but oh well lol

1. Mermaid Tears - This is probably one of the most coveted ones from the collection and i was able to get my hands on one! :D SOO HAPPY! Its a nice murky kind of turquoise color. It kinda reminds me of a nice seafoam color.

2.Skull & Glossbones - Its a nice kind of creamy gray color. it reminds me of a lighter colored concrete color. Its really unique. I actually have never seen a color like this before. I cant wait to put my shatter on this :)

3. Planks a Lot - This is a really cool toned purple. I thought that when i got this, it would look like Parlez-Vous OPI or Done Out In Deco but it doesnt actually. I looked at my collection and i saw that it was REALLY unique from my collection. I dont have anything like it. Cant wait to try it :)

4. Stranger Tides - This is actually the one polish that I picked up last minute. Its SO hard to describe. It kinda reminds me of seaweed? kind of? i dont really know. I didnt like it from any of the swatches online but when i saw it in person, i HAD to have it. I actually already tried this. I have this on my nails right now and its awesome! it took about 2 thin coats to get a good opaque coat :) VERY pleased with it

So here is my final Pirates of the Caribbean Collection. Well not about to be final because i think ill be picking up the other two.

Recent NARS Purchases :D

Hey Guys, i know. Long time no post, but now im back (for a little) and i have a new post for you guys :)

So its spring. FINALLY, and so many companys are coming out with their own spring collection. Personally, i got SO tired of MAC's collections. Dont get me wrong, they look nice and all but i feel like theyre the same thing over and over and over.....

Just when i was about to give up, i saw NARS' collection. It doesnt look very "spring" like but there were 2 products that i just HAD to have. So here are my purchases :)

I picked up their eyeshadow duo in Dogon. Like i said, its not the most spring like thing ever but it looks unbelievable beautiful. i know im gonna get a lot of uses out of it. It comes with this really pretty kind of duoochrome nutty shade and a black metallic shade with hints of turquoise. It really swatches more like a black. Well swatches and reviews soon :)

The other thing that i got was one of their Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Bolero. I only got this because this is the Matte twin sister of MAC's Ever Hip and i unfortunately was unable to get it from the recent fashion flower collection. I still have my other one but im saving it. I actually tweeted a swatch of them next to each other and its pretty damn close

So thats it, i still have a long list of NARS things to buy but right now, im very content with all my purchases. They just made my NARS obsession grow even more!

China Glaze - Re-Fresh Mint

Hey guys, this is China Glaze's Re-Fresh Mint. This is my unofficial Spring nail polish. You have no idea how much ive been reaching for this. First i wanna talk about the name. My stupid self thought this was such a random name, but then i realized that it was "Refreshment". It was like an "Aha!" moment for me lol I actually have this on my nails as im typing this :) These something about nice mint nails that gets to me.

Ive tried alot of mints but this is without a doubt my favorite. Just when i think i can dupe it, i cant. Well its just a very nice and unique mint color. Its more pastel but still bright. I dont know why there wasnt so much hype about it because its one hell of a color :) The formulation is pretty good. It was opaque with 2 coats but i still went with a 3rd light coat. Lemme just tell you how much this color pops! with any outfit. I wore a striped neon pink shirt and people noticed my nails still :D Im very pleased with this polish. i really wanna get a back up of this because ive been using it way too much :)

Spring Lips: NARS - Orgasm :)

Hey Guys, so this is my next Spring Lips installment :) and i am featuring NARS' Orgasm. Ill give you a slight pause for this very provocative name. We're all very aware of NARS and theyre unbelievable make up brand. Theyre mostly famous for their blushes but of course they have other stuff too :) Their lip glosses arent the most amazing things in the world but theyre pretty good. Theyre amazingly pigmented and theyre pretty 3-dimensional.

Orgasm is a light peachy color with a very visible gold shimmer. As you can see from my picture, it blanks out my lips pretty well and im just wearing just the gloss and pretty pigmented for a light lipgloss. and well i have pretty pigmented Bare Lips. So all in all, im very impressed by this :) The only cons to this is that i dont like the scent or lack of scent and i also dont like the applicator. My lips are pretty big and the applicator doesnt fit my gigantic ass lips lmao. but other than that, its pretty good

OPI's Silver Shatter and Some Combos :D

Hey guys,
So I have a tiny story for you guys. Well as you guys know, the Pirates of The Caribbean OPI collection came out recently. Im LOVING all of the colors there. Im still looking for the regular colors but if you didnt know, they released it with a Silver Shatter polish. Well, this polish is limited edition i believe so i knew i wasnt gonna get it. specially because it took me about a good 6 months until i got the black shatter. I actually looks all over New York City just looking for that polish. I eventually gave up. Well, today i actually went to go to a Beauty Supply store that i knew would never have the shatter polishes. I went in to buy some skin care things but then in the corner of my eye. I saw it, it was the Silver Polish. They had the Black Shatter too! Isnt that weird? the day i gave up on my search, i found it :D

Well anyway, enough babbling. Black to the polish :D
I find with the OPI crackles, as time goes on, its crackle becomes more like how its shown on the cap

Here is the polish :) I have a feeling since it has a shimmer, it doesnt crackle just as well but ill keep you guys updated.

Here are the combos i kinda just thought would look nice with the silver shatter

This is the shatter with China Glaze's Aqua Baby. I thought a nice creme aqua would look nice against the shimmer. and it kinda does.

This one is Maybelline's Summer N Spice. It wanted a nice kind of copper and silver contrast so i picked a metallic color. its not bad :)

This is it with OPI's Jade is The New Black. Ive tried this with the black shatter and i didnt like it as much, i was kinda hoping that the silver would make the green pop. It does a little but then again, i did put a really thick coat by accident

This is it with OPI's Parlez Vous OPI, I wanted what it looked like with a light color. Its actually not so bad. This is my second favorite combo.

This is it with China Glaze's Scarlet. This is what i picked up first. Only because i knew that i wasnt gonna be able to get the red shatter, i figured putting a red base would look nice. and it DOES! this is my favorite combo! expect a post on this :)

So tell me which one you like :)

Spring Lips: MAC - Ever Hip :)

Hey guys, so im back with another one of my Spring Lips posts. Im here again with a MAC Lipstick. This is also limited edition but im posting this now because its getting repromoted by MAC's Fashion Flower Collection thats coming out this April 28th, 2011 so if you like it, go out and get it when it comes out. Well this specific lipstick is Ever Hip.

I was actually really lucky that i got a hold of it the last time it came out the first time in the Liberty Of London Collection. This is a Cremesheen finish so its fairly pigmented. Check out my Bare Lips for a reference of how pigmented they are.

To be totally honest, i LOVE it. Its pretty light but it works amazingly with my skin tone. It might be a little light for darker skin tones but its still really gorgeous. I think it might work as a peachy nude.

But if i need a brighter cream colored lipstick, this is what i reach for. This is actually my most used lipstick as you can see from how short it is LOL.

But anyway, please pick this up when you get the chance. I guarantee you wont regret it. Its a lovely shade to have in your collection.

Recent Obession: Black French Tips :)

Hey guys :)
So i wanted to share with you my recent manicure (on myself) Every now and then i get tired of a plain color polish over my nails. I decided to do a french tip. As i opened my drawer of nail art things (composed of 2 nail art polishes in black and white and a bunch of nail stickers) I was about to reach for the for the white, but then i saw my black nail art polish. I thought "hey, why not" I decided to paint it on my nails.

After it was dry, i stretched out my hand and saw that i REALLY loved it! It was SO chic and edgy. Even though the "French Tip" is a feminine style, the black contrast makes it really rocker chic. I absolutely LOVE IT and im crazy obsessed with it. Ive been wearing it on and off for the past month. I would recommend this to someone with longer nails though. I feel that with long nails, it elongates the nails but with shorter nails, it kinda shortens it.

Spring Lips: MAC - Fresh Salmon

Hey Guys :)
So this is my 4th installment of my "Spring Lips" series. This post is going to be about MAC's Fresh Salmon. This is unfortunately limited edition so sorry to those who cant get a hold of it but ive heard that a lot of people are getting these at CCO's.

This is a rather unique shade actually, ive tried to dupe it as much as i can but the closest ive come to a dupe is Maybelline's Peachy Scene. So anyway, this is a frost lipstick but its actually pretty pigmented. It has a Salmon base but it sheens coral. it also has a golden shimmer to it which make it a great transition color from Spring to Summer. If you find a good dupe for it, PLEASE let me know :D

MAJOR Fashion Haul :D (Pic Heavy)

Hey guys,
so i wanted to share with you. Just a reminder, all pics are mine. Stealing is SO not cool. so anyway, Me and my mom like to make one big shopping trip everyone once a season and make tinier ones throughout the year. This week was our spring seasonal trip. Im only showing you the interesting things, im omitting like one thing and theyre just jeans lol SO anyway lets start with the one shirt i got from this shopping trip :)

I got this simple floral shirt. its a really nice material. I got it at Century 21, it was originally $10 but we got it for $6. Its great for both spring and summer :) and im absolutely smitten with the pattern.

Next are shoes. Now if youve seen some of my shoe posts, you'll know that i LOVE combat boots but these just happen to catch my eye. This style is VERY in right now. It kinda looks like guys loafers. i actually love this whole "Boyfriend" look (even though i dont have one LOL) But these are white so theyre nice and light for spring. I got these for $30

Now next is accessories. Which im sure EVERY girl loves :D I was looking for feather earrings and i found these at a store called Arden B. They were $19 but they were buy one get half off. I LOVEEEEE THEM! Ill insert a picture of me wearing it. I actually wore it the minute i got out of the store.

Theyre VERY heavy duty but they feel like nothing :) I felt like a shopping success when i got these :D They look really nice against my dark hair

Next are the half off bangles that i chose. I kinda just chose these because if the color. i love it. i didnt realize it until now that it matches the shirt i got. sweeeeettt but it came in a bundle and i love me my bangles :)

Next are the sunglasses from Century 21. This is from a brand called Rampage and OMG me and my mom got them for $9 (Originally $30 ish) They have purple tinted lenses and the shape of it is very in for the summer.

Now we head on to the bags. These bags are the absolute BOMBBB. The first one i got is this Black one from a brand called Miss Me (Not really sure of it) Sorry for the weird picture but it was the best i could do lol. So this bag has nice chains and its HUGE which i love because who doesnt love big bags :)
I plan to make this my everyday school bag. In the words of my mom "Its Classy"

Next bag is a nice mint color with a grey undertones. This is unfortunately a bad picture of it :/ Its by a company called Big Buddha, which is actually a vegan brand. So looks like i celebrated Earth Day properly with this bag :D Its called a Dusty Hobo bag

Estee Lauder's Frozen Fantasy

Its spring and all these bright colors are coming up. From creme finishes to glitters. Every now and then, its nice to change it up with a nice nude color to contrast everyones bright wardrobe right?

Here a great nude that I got a while ago for my birthday. Its Estée Lauder's Frozen Fantasy. Its a bit of a darker nude but it has this really unique silver veining/shimmer to it. its quite gorgeous and a serious staple in my collection. I wear this in between bright colors and by that i mean by that is that after i wear a super bright color, i wear this :)

Its a nice buffer for all these colors. SO tell me what you think of this color :) like it? hate it? leave it in the comments :)

Spring Lips: MAC - Chatterbox

So this is the 3rd installment of my "Spring Lips" series. This is MAC's Chatterbox. Its the absolute perfect pink for spring. This reminds me of a more wearable and pinker version of Up The Amp. Its an amplified finish but it applies like a cremesheen. Its more of a warmer tone but its a fairly neutral tone. Its a super nice pastel kind of pink and it really think anyone can pull it off. It applies like a dream! For me, this is like an amplified version of my lips.

New York Adventures: Coney Island

Hey guys,

You might not know but I Live in New York City (Queens to be specific) and well me and my friends LOVE to have little adventures around the city. We have a metro card and a LOT of time on our hands.

*This is me and my friend on the train*

So I thought might as well do a series called "New York Adventures" I'll be featuring some New York landmarks and some of my favorite places to go. So first off in the series is Coney Island. Its located in Brooklyn, New York and you can get there by taking the N,R or Q (Those are just the ones i take) So Coney Island is known mostly for the beach and the amusement park next to it. I've been on the Cyclone (a really scary old wooden roller coaster)

Its a great escape for New Yorkers. The hustle and bustle of the city can be a little too much sometimes. Its nice to get away with just a train stop away. When youre here, you'll see a great contrast between the city and the beach. The fresh air, The nice breeze, and the bright sun really get the edge off.

The pictures are just of me and my friends. Im the one with the shorts and the leopard tights. We went and visited when we had half a day from school. it was the perfect day! it was like 70 degrees out and it was SO warm out. but the water was SOO cold! but it was still an awesome day

Another great thing about Coney Island is that just a few blocks away, there are great delis, bodegas and other fast food stores to go inside in if youre short on cash :) The food stands in the amusement park are pretty afffordable. if you wanted the full experience for it, go for it! :D

Spring Lips: Revlon - Coral Reef :)

So here is the first post on my series called "Spring Lips"
Now we all know that coral is a staple to anyones make up routine during spring time. From lips to cheeks to even eyes.

here is a lipgloss that i feel everyone must have for this upcoming spring. This is Revlon's Coral Reef. I would describe it as a "jelly" based lipgloss. Its very see through but it covers the lips nicely with a tint of coral. Its a creme color so there is absolutely no shimmer in this. I carry this around in my make up bag everyday during spring. This is not that sticky but it stays on the lips nicely. Here is a picture of my Bare Lips to show you guys the pigmentation of it.

This is a staple and a great investment for your spring make up routine.

I hope you guys try this out :) Pick it up next time you see it and see if you like it. I think it works for any skin tone. Its fairly pigmented enough for anyone to rock it.

China Glaze - Sea Spray :D

Hey guys :)
So this is China Glaze's Sea Spray. This came out with the Anchor's Away collection (I Think). Now lemme tell you the real reason why i actually got this polish. Othen than it being GORGEOUS! i saw a post from Makeup and Beauty Blog about this polish being a dupe for a Chanel Polish called Riva. Its not an exact same dupe but it pretty darn good. Check out the post here. The Chanel color is very light and has a more white base, but i like this Sea Spray much more. It has more of a gray tone and it looks awesome.

So i would describe the color as a gray toned, sky blue color with the slightest shimmer. and when i saw slight, i mean you can barely see it unless you look REALLY close to it. But then again thats another thing that i like about it. It not just your regular creme even though it applies like it, its more complex and i really am infatuated with the color. Its fairly opaque, it look about 2 coats to get full opacity. it was a tiny bit streaky but not over the top.

NOTM - Cherry Blossoms :)

Hey guys, So this is my nail polish art. Its basically cherry blossoms. I actually did this after the tsunamis hit Japan to support them. Its spring time there and the cherry blossoms should be springing up now. Instead, they're facing a horrible devastation that they're still dealing with now. Well I just wanted to do this, other than that its really pretty and i have never gotten so many compliments. its actually a really simple tutorial. Im not taking any credit for this, i saw a video from a lovely youtuber "Misschievous" and she did a tutorial on this.

Lemme just tell you guys the products (nail colors that i used)
-ELF: Mint Cream (For the background)
-China Glaze: White on White (For the white petals)
-China Glaze: Rosita (For the middle of the flower)
-Hurricane Nail Art: Black (For the stems)

I hope you guys try this out. Its really fun and its really cute for spring. Just look at the video I attached and you'll be fine :)

so im starting this series called "Spring Lips"
Through out spring, ill be posting swatches of lip products that i feel will be perfect for spring. This is just the Introductory post with a picture of my bare lips for a reference because i really dont wanna be posting my bare lips all the time.
this will just save time :D

So ill be posting the first "Spring Lips" post right after this.

Again, this post is just a reference to what my bare lips look like to show the pigmentation the lip product has against my own lips.

NOTM: Floral Tips :D

So spring has sprung here in New York and it was about time! I wanted to commemorate this glorious spring season with a spring-y manicure. and by manicure, i mean i did it myself :D

So this week, I was taking pictures for my senior portrait for my high school and i decided to do french tips. nothing fancy, just a white nail art and some clear polish. I checked the news and saw that the weather was finally getting higher! I ran to where i kept my polishes and i wanted to paint on something coral but then i saw my nail stickers. I just decided to use those.

i didnt wanna put it on all of my nails, so i just did it on my thumb, pointer and ring finger. It looked pretty sophisticated :)

Here are the stickers i used, i got these from my mom. she said her friend went to Japan brought them for her but she does her nails in a salon and she knows i am like obsessed with nail stuff. so yeah she just gave it to me. i have a bunch more that are different.

FOTD: Featuring NARS' Exhibit A

Hey guys, so this is a momentous event. I just bought my very first NARS blush!
Now i'm sure youre saying "Oh you probably bought Orgasm"
well sir, i didnt. I like pushing the envelope on make up so i HAD to get Exhibit A

As you can see, Exhibit A is UNBELIEVABLY crazy looking.
Its SO bright and its SO red.
and i SO love it :D

As you can see, its CRAZY pigmented. This is the finger swatch and lemme say it actually stained my finger.

This is it blended out. As im typing right now, i can still see the stain on my hand from the swatch. This is what i love about it. its SO pigmented that i need the most tiniest bit of it just for my one cheek. I take a big fluffy brush (like the Sigma F30), Tap it once or twice on the blush, tap it off any excess on the back of my hand and still have SO much for my cheeks.

This is it applied the way i explained, it gives kind of a nice "Embarrassed" blush :D Its awesome for everyday even though its a glorious red. You have to be a little bit careful with it though. If you have fair skin, you might lessen your application but it is still really universal.

Now on to my FOTD. Here it is and yes im wearing Exhibit A. isnt it gorgeous! i swear it was worht every single penny.

Beauty Haul of 04-03-11

Hey Guys,
So this is my haul for a day and this is just a random haul but its a fairly break through for me :)
My mother just called me on her way home and asked me if i wanted to go to the mall
Who would pass that up? specially since it was after my moms pay day LOL jk

So first thing i picked up was foundations. I actually bought the two famous Revlon foundations. I picked up Revlon Colorstay the day before. i liked it so much that i picked up Photoready specially because i heard REALLY good things about it on LUUUX. I kinda bought the ColorStay a little too dark so when i picked up the PhotoReady, I knew to pick up something a little lighter. Im still going to be using the ColorStay, its VERY forgiving.

Next thing I picked up was my very first NARS blush :) Ive tried a NARS duo. Loved it. Tried the NARS Stylo (a liquid eyeliner). Loved it. Tried the NARS Lipgloss. Had an unpleasant scent/taste but still loved it. So since theres such big hype on their blush, it was just about time for me to buy one and join the cult. I didnt like Orgasm, and well im very adventurous when it comes to make up so i HAD to pick up Exhibit A :D. I have two words for it. LOVED IT! :D

Next thing i had to pick up was the Nivea a kiss of Milk and Honey. I heard good things about this too. Its just about time i picked it up :) Its not bad but the scent kinda reminds me of Baby Powder. Its pretty good :)

I picked up two Eyeshadow Brushes from ELF and I just needed more than one shader brush in my brushes that i use everyday cause well i HATE washing brushes. These are fairly disposable but theyre still amazing! :)

This next thing is my moms treat for me :) She bought me a new hair straightener. Mine broke already but i barely used it anyway. But my mom just kinda bought this for me in one of those little kiosks in the mall. It works out pretty good. It came in black, pink and purple. so naturally i had to get the purple even though i would have gotten the black. My mom insisted on the purple lol

I also like the knob it has. Its not just the usual clicking one. There's an On/Off switch and yeah that pretty much it for that. plus its REALLY pretty :D

Well thats it, since the usual protocol for my posts is posting a song that ive been loving, here it is. Ive fallen back in love with Panic! at the Disco and well needless to say, all of their singles are amazing! Their new single is called "Ballad Of Mona Lisa" and yes i do love it :D I have their entire album and im still going through it. so far i LOVE IT! Now here is the lyric video :)

Paris Hilton Fairy Dust Perfume Review (Juicy Couture Dupe!)

So one day, me and my sister were at Sears. She went ahead and bought some make up things and I noticed a table with a bunch of perfumes. i decided to walk over there and i noticed some Paris Hilton's perfumes. I saw that my favorite wasnt there (FML right?) but then i saw others by her. Can i just say how much I love all of Paris Hilton's perfumes! I havent tried out Fairy Dust but i heard that it was good. I picked it up and i noticed it was 75% OFF!!!! So my sister decided to pick it up for me cus it was SO cheap. But anyway back to this review.

Lemme first just say how gaudy the packaging is. I hate the bottle shape, its a little awkward and i feel like it could drop any time i pick it up. Other than the weird bottle, it has the most grotesque picture of a fairy right in front. Yeah its NOT pretty. The top also isnt very cohesive with the bottle. If they designed the bottle around the cap, i have a feeling it would be a much better bottle. As a grade for the packaging, i would give it a D-

Now for the scent. If you smell the scent, you will forget all about the bottle. It is an exact dupe to the Juicy Couture Original Perfume! I actually never thought this would happen because the Juicy Couture scent is my absolute favorite over anything but i feel that its too expensive. So when i smelled this and it smelled exactly like the Juicy one, i screamed and hugged my sister for buying it for me :) For the scent, i would describe it as a girly, musk scent. Its mostly floral but it has a hint of a fruity scent. So for the actual scent, i would give this an A+++++++++++++++++ (Because well come on! its juicy dupe!)

So thats it for my review, How do you feel about this if you have it.
As for me. i love it. I can look past the horrible packaging and thats kind of a first for me. I will be going back and buying a back up actually :)

NOTM: Color Club - Revvvolution ;)

So Spring is here.... I guess (Even though i just went through another tiny snow storm here in New York -___-) and weirdly enough, i think this year, trends did a full 360. like this fall, coral nails were in for the fall, and i guess now, black nail polish is a BIG thing. huh, who woulda thunk it LOL

Wel me bring a follower of trends, I went for the dark nails, but i was tired of the simple creme gray/black (not that I still dont love it) well if you saw my post on my nail polish haul, I bought a Color Club nail polish called "Revvvolution" cause well i heard it from a certain Ms. Vintage Or Tacky a LONGGG time ago and she said this has a certain holographic show to it. and its not as apparent as the China Glaze ones (Which is still in my wish list) but the holo is still there. This marks my first Holographic nail polish too :D

So here is the polish in all its glory

*P.S. Can i tell you how HARD it is to get the holo to show pretty. I guess thats why im saying its not that holographic as i wanted it to be. It doesnt really photograph well.

NOTD: Shattered In The Sky :D

Hey Guys, So this is my first NOTD with my shatter polish. im actually wearing these nails right now as im typing this. I used Maybelline's Pie In The Sky and i was originally just going to put the shatter as an accent nail (as you can see from the last picture) since im TRYING to conserve my shatter (if anyone is willing to swap, i would LOVE to :D)
But then i just decided to put it in all of my nails! cus im crazy and i like it :D

Well thats pretty much it, i just wanted to share this to you guys. If you have any combos that might be a good idea, please tell me. Im dying to try all types of combos.

Current Obsession: Combat Boot and Nicki Minaj

I first would like to excuse my poses LOL

Hey guys, so i just wanted to share my OOTD and my serious new obsession. Now i live in New York and its a very fashion forward place. Its pretty hard to keep up lol. Sometimes there are some trends that i think are SO outrageous but once i tried them, i fell head over heels in love. (for example, Men's wear. I used to think it would looks horrible on me, but the minute i tried it, it became a serious staple style in my wardrobe)

So a HUGE trend right now is Combat Boots. Specially for spring, it tones down anything that might be super girly or overly floral. I LOVE that look, floral yet rough :) So these are the boots ive been wearing almost everyday. Theyre amazing ly comfortable. They have a zipper on the side with makes it SO much more easier to wear.

So anyway, on to the OOTD. The weather is getting SO much more better here so i decided to wear a gray cardigan and a shirt that has floral detailing on the front. You cant really see it but yeah its there. I know this looks really gray and dreary but i actually used a bright purple bag as a pop of color :)

Ok so lets talk about e-tailers. I am never a big fan of ordering online, specially for polishes. I absolutely hate ordering online but I took a shot specially because i have NO Ulta, Sallys or any place that has the new China Glaze Polishes. So I took a shot with Head2ToeBeauty.com

Lemme first just say EVERYONE! i mean EVERYONE needs to order from here! they are 1st of all international, they ship SO fast! i've never had a package come so fast! I ordered my package on a Wednesday and by Thursday, they had already shipped everything! It took them 2 business days to get it to me so i got it on a Monday. If i had ordered on lets say a monday, i probably would have gotten it much earlier. So lets just say im VERY happy with their shipping. Im not sure about their customer service since i didnt really have too much of a problem, when they shipped it, they gave me a tracking number and I took it from there.

Here was my initial order.....
Its pretty simple, just "add to cart" and that pretty much it.

Now my order came, and they FILLED the box to the brim with packing peanuts, and these were a B-I-T-C-H to get rid of off my hand because of the static LOL

So they packed it in China Glaze boxes like these and since I ordered more China Glaze, im guessing thats why i got China Glaze boxes. Props to them for re-using boxes. i saw the tops of the boxes and it had a label of different polishes to good job on recycling there Head2ToeBeauty :)

and heeeeerrrrreeeessss the polishes :D

Now lemme tell you why i initially ordered from Head2ToeBeauty, I was actually debating on either 8ty8beauty or this site, BUT! the only reason why i was ordering is to get Sea Spray and well 8ty8beauty has it out of stock (BOO!) safe to say, i only ordered from Head2ToeBeauty because they had what I wanted in stock. SO NOT regretting it :D

I also got some other polishes from the Up In The Air collection, and i got ANOTHER For Audrey polish just as a back up :) (yes, im pretty much crazy lol)
BTW im SOOOO excited to try Re-Fresh Mint. There are SO many people who talked about this and im SO excited.

So Suffice to say, im VERY happy with my purchase :D I only have ONE TINY problem.

WHERE AM I SUPPOSE TO KEEP ALL OF THESE NEW POLISHES?!
(Isnt that such an awesome problem)

You SHATTERED me at hello.

So after about a good 2 months of searching for this polish, i FINALLY found it. I actually found this in New York's famous beauty supply store; Ricky's. I actually took a shot in the dark cus i was out with my friends around Columbus Circle and we were going to an event for our club. I just happened to spot Ricky's and well i knew i wasnt gonna find it. I go in and ask the people inside and what did i see just a few inches down my nose? BLACK SHATTER! I gasped SO loud that im sure people from the back could hear me, even with the music blasting. That was it. I HAD to buy it. Unfortunately, Ricky's is INCREDIBLY over priced. (i.e. OPI Polishes are $12+tax D:) Specially for this polish. it was about $15!!!!! But after debating for about 2 seconds, i pulled out my wallet and bought it. and i dont regret a thing :D

The second me and my friends stepped out of the store, i pulled it out and did a little demo for my friends and justified my decision, they were in agreement with me LOL. I kept saying half the time "Am I Crazy for buying this" and all my friends said were "No, its worth it. I should have bought one" (I have very supportive friends lol)

So anyway, here is the Black Shatter polish :D (picture 1 & 2)
I didnt really have a problem applying it. I kept hearing that it was streaky and such but its fine, its not bad. its pretty damn good actually. I dont regret one cent. The 3rd picture is the nail i did in the middle of the street with my friends "Oh"-ing and "Ah"-ing :D

FOTD: Silent Treatment Works. For Eyeshadow :)

Hey guys, So I'm sure you guys have seen the new Wet N Wild Trios, Ive been seriously obsessed with Silent Treatment. I wish i could do swatches but my lighting is VERY off. So anyway. Here is my looks for it. I dont like following instructions (cus im a BADASS LOL) specially in make up, i might do it first but then i find ways to suit it better for myself.

So I used the brow bone color for my lid,
the Eyelid color for my crease
and the Crease color for my Outer corner.

I just felt like this would make it look more suitable for daytime because i love me my neutral smokey taupes for everyday.

Hey guys so after bitching in twitter for about 2 weeks, my Sigma Brush Order finally came :D
Now dont get me wrong, I love LUUUX and all the people in it but i always had this thought in the back of my mind that LUUUX was just a scam. (Dont lie, i know you had it too! lol) but when I went in my room and found my package, i yelled out "THANK YOU LUUUX" :D
So let me take you through my LUUUX order journey

Like i said, i had many temper tantrums about my order on twitter, and Sigma was actually nice enough to see my tweet and they tweeted back asking me if i wanted to see what the order of my status was. (SUPER nice of Sigma to do that)
So yeah props to Sigma

I promise to do a first impression on the brushes once i thoroughly try them out but so far, things are going good. Im not gonna do a full on review because there are plenty of really good reviews out there lol.

So lets talk a little about my package. In it, they have their famous "Free Gift" a mini version of the E25. (Which im seriously loving right now) I know its suppose to be a mini version of it but I think the handle is long enough for me. Its not too difficult to hold.

So the set is suppose to include a black mirror. But i got white one. Well i first didnt care cus well a mirror is a mirror lol. but then i thought maybe there was a glitch in my order. But then i found a tiny note from Sigma saying "They were out of Black Mirrors" and i thought it was nice of them to put that. They could have just taken out the mirror all together but nope, they still gave me the pearly one which i think is MORE cuter than the black one. So once again Thanks Sigma and LUUUX

So yeah, in my beautiful mesh black bag (which i am keeping) There are some pamphlets with cleaning instructions and directions on what to do with the brushes. This is great for beginners but i like to think of myself as a little bit more than an amateur. I dont really follow instructions (cus im a bad ass LOL) and well I like finding unconventional way to use something other than its actual purpose

Here is the brush roll it came with. I actually think this is SO gorgeous. its simple but it feels like its great quality and it SO soft :D

Heres what it looks like when i unopened it :D I think i squealed at this moment LOL I was SO excited like you have NO idea lol. I mean they are just brushes but youre talking to a girl who uses broken brushes lol.

Here they are :D Im so excited to try them out. I wont be doing a review only because their are SO many reviews on Sigma brushes so ill just be doing a review for no reason. plus im kind of biased because i think all brushes are awesome lol.

But yeah, thats it for today :D Let me leave you with a song ive been TOTALLY obsessing over. and its by Nicki Minaj! I used to not like her but this song is just amazing. the beat is amazing :D and well the bass is amazing too. hence the song. its called Super Bass

My Back Up Box :)

Hey guys, i thought i would share with you guys my "Back Up" box :) It used to be my "Back Up" drawer but it got way too filled so i just placed it in a box.

1. So the first thing you see is my Mint Julep Mask. I have a back up of it because i never want to be without it. Its also not that easy to find for me. Its always either sold out or they dont sell it, so when i do find it, I buy one extra. :)

2. Second picture is suppose to be my brushes, i had another brush here but i used it already. I only have left is my ELF blush brush which i use for my foundation (it works wonders btw for a nice kind of air brushed finish)

3. I have a back up of my Wet N Wild Silent Treatment Trio. I bought this before i knew that they were going to be in their permanent line. But even still, once they restock those trios, ill be buying more of it as back ups because im crazy like that LOL

4.Now my eye stuff :) I have an extra eyelash curler from Revlon which my sister got for me. I have a Jordana eyeshadow (from their old packaging) in Toast. Its my absolute favorite for defining the crease. When i found out that they were discontinuing this, I had to buy a back up. It works unbelievably and its just like a high end eyeshadow. Another eye thing that i have is my Telescopic macscara. I bought a back up when they were selling it for only $5

5. I dont have a lot of lip stuff, but I do have this one lipstick. This is my favorite Red lipstick. Its by L'Oreal and its called True Red and i already started dipping into it. I also have a bunch of Stila Lipglazes that i didnt used yet. I had way to many lipglazes so i just decided to put it in my back up box. The colors are in; Grapefruit, Merry Merry and Apricot

6. For Nail Stuff, these are some things that my friends bought me that i had doubts of already. I have a back up of my China Glaze Nail Strengthener and Growth Formula, a Nail Polish in Chiaroscuro (My FAVORITE nail polish of ALL time). A Confetti Nail Polish in Moon Struck and a Laurent Dornel Nail Polish Called Rose Farouche. Im not sure about the brand because my moms friend got it for me when she was in Paris

NOTM: Not Like The Movies :)

So i havent done these "Nail of the Moment" posts in a while and i thought i should do one this week because i wont be changing my nail polish color for a while because ive pretty much fallen in love with this color, and the song. Its the new OPI polish from the Katy Perry Collection in Not Like The Movies.

Now i LOVE everything Katy Perry. I was one of those people who got the people around me hooked on her. When i found out that she was collaborating with OPI for her own nail polish line, i was ecstatic that it wasnt Nicole by OPI (I just dont like the bottles LOL) So i was on a serious hunt for them. I looked at every single nail polish/beauty supply store within subway distance or anywhere close to me. Absolutely NO luck -___- I was pretty much ready to give up but out of no where, when me and my friends were out downtown (like around 34th st. and Madison Ave) I saw a random beauty supply store/hair salon. I saw that they had an OPI stand. I decided to check it out with my friends and I first asked the lady if they had it. Lo and behold, THEY HAD IT! i almost cried. They ofcourse were out of the black shatter (NO luck finding that ever! lol) But they did have the 2 colors i wanted out of the entire collection. Teenage Dream (which i will do a post on soon) and Not Like The Movies. When i saw swatches of these online, i KNEW i had to have it. Thankfully i did find it <3

So Here it is, in all its glory. This picture does not do its justice. Its SOOOO gorgeous, i cant stand it!

Oh since i said i love anything "Katy Perry", Lemme tell ya. I have her entire album, her new album and i love every second of it (Well maybe expect for "Peacock" not such a big fan of it) I LOVE "Not Like The Movies" I dont like listening to it tho because i would cry if i did and well who likes to cry? lol. So heres the song, listen and fall in love.

Nail Polish Out 2011

Hey guys, so i was just looking around youtube in my subscriptions and i saw that a certain beauty guru that i LOVE had posted her top 10 favorite nail polishes and a little bit more.

She talked about how last year people went on a "Glossed Out 2010" So she decided to start a "Nail Polish Out 2011" I though that was SUCH a good idea because well, if you see that picture i posted, im WAY above my nail polish quota. I have about 100 polishes and that picture is just the ones that i dont use this season. So anyway, i decided to join her quest and I know a lot of us are very into polish

Here's where i keep my nail polishes. This is my main storage for them

I keep Polishes that might be "In" for the season here near my make up collection

So why not just shop at out stashes instead of going to your local drugstore for a new polish :)

But since sometimes we can resist the temptation, Im allowing my self to buy only 5 nail polishes (starting now because well i already bought more than 5 for his year hehe) and hopefully i will find some new loves from my already huge nail polish collection.

So what do you guys think about this? are you up for it? or are you gonna pass?

Im all for it :) Since i didnt participate in "Glossed Out 2010" because im not such a big lipgloss fan, i decided to join this :)

Maybelline FIT Me! Foundation review :)

Hey guys, long time no talk (blog or w.e.) I know i havent been doing much posting here, but ive been totally obsessed with LUUUX (click the linky button on the side to go on LUUUX) I love the LUUUX community a lot, its a very positive environment and well just see for yourself

anyway, back to the original focus of this post, and its about foundation. Im on a serious foundation kick right know because I pretty much went through 2 foundations (L'Oreal Infallible and Neutrogena Healthy Skin Makeup) So i wanted to check out the newer foundations. One of the big foundations that came out was Maybelline's FIT line. I was very intrigued about this. First thing that really caught my eye was the packaging and the shade selection. i was determined to find the right shade for me :)

So this is it in all its pride and glory :)

Im in the shade 325 - Cream Beige

Pros:
-VERY Blendable
-Has many shade
-Fairly Inexpensive
-Medium but buildable coverage

Cons:
-Has a mild floral scent
-Shows up kind of bright in pictures (because of the SPF)
-Doesnt stay on as long as hoped (still kind of long lasting)

It looks like it would be a matte finish because of this picture but this is just a picture that doesnt have flash

In this picture, (With the flash) you'll notice that my skin looks pretty glowy :) I would say this gives me the same effect as the Neutrogena Healthy Skin Makeup (which is like my favorite foundation) It gives a fairly satin finish and im totally loving it.

Final thoughts? I absolutely love it right now. I think the finish it gives is appropriate for all seasons. and the fact that its under $10 makes it even better.

Its feeling very at home in my messy makeup vanity table. :)

Now that i've tried this, im gonna go back and buy a back up and maybe check out the powder theyre offering :)
